Sola_mente Records founder Deborah De Luca flips ‘Quick To The Mothership’ into a trippy, late-night techno cut, before Drumcode, Hot Creations, and We Are The Brave affiliate Rebūke rounds out the release with a sharp, jacking take on Topping’s ‘Lift Off’.

One of the most exciting names in modern dance music, Eli Brown’s productions have graced Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave, Chris Lake’s Black Book Records, and now Patrick Topping’s Trick. Continuing this streak of dancefloor weapons with ‘Rudeboi EP’, the Bristolian DJ/producer combines his wide-ranging influences into three hard-hitting rave cuts.

The title track sets the tone for the EP with rumbling bass drums and fast paced stabs offset by a classic jungle vocal. Continuing with the same energy, ‘Welcome To My House’ brings heavy four to the floor drops and squelchy, catchy acid lines. The final track ‘Don’t Think Much’ features an iconic monologue from Talk Show over a deep, hypnotic groove, closing out yet another anthemic EP.

A self released contemporary rhythmic techno production, ‘Sauna’, curated by myself that serves as proof of my ongoing activity within the scene from behind closed doors. After a hiatus from producing daily for a year solid due to migrating from Glasgow, Scotland to Perth, Western Australia I thought it was only right to show up and self release a track that serves as a reminder of my passion and dedication to the craft. This one is a heavy hitter, one that elevates the eyesight of dancers from the floor to the rafters. With powerful barrages of fast paced and impactful claps screaming over forward thinking percussive elements and a punishing low end, this track will bolster the pace of a set or ramp up the tempo appropriately. 

Mixed and Mastered with laser precision by Kabay who I extend the utmost gratitude to for undergoing this project.

Eli continues to establish himself as one of the UK’s most prolific producers and it’s easy to see why. With releases like his hit collaboration with Solardo ‘XTC’ currently hitting the dizzy heights of daytime Radio 1, and anthems like ‘Brazil’ (Repopulate Mars), ‘Inside My Head’ (Black Book) and ‘BS48’ (Big Beat) causing damage on the international club circuit, his talents have garnered key support from every corner of the dance music spectrum.

This release marks yet another pivotal moment in Eli Brown’s career as he steps into the darker / underground world of Alan Fitzpatrick. Add to this the widespread support from the likes of Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Fisher, Claude VonStroke, Solardo, Black Madonna, Denis Sulta, Calvin Harris, Annie Mac & more and it’s easy to see why everyone is talking about “Eli Brown.” 

The EP kicks off with title track ‘Come Together’. A concoction of solid 909 kicks and snappy percussion which come alive once the rolling bass fires off. Keyed melodics at the break take the track in a completely unexpected direction, bringing the listener to their knees.

Deeper but equally upbeat, ‘Thinking About You’ revels in a warm ‘90s glow with powerful rave stabs that drive the track forward. Pads and extra FX complete a clever ode to the UK Hardcore scene.

‘92 Thing’ opens into a deeply vibey groove-a-thon with “ecstasy” vocal shots for full effect! Tough drums and scattergun percussion keep things grounded into 2019, as the classic Juno pads send the old school crew into raptures.

Outside of the studio, Eli Brown embraces a busy tour schedule with a stacked summer of shows in Ibiza alongside performances for Bodyworks, ANTS, ABODE and Toolroom. The ‘Come Together’ EP falls around an eleven-date North American Tour, and marking just one of the countless trips across the pond for Eli Brown this year, it’s no wonder he’s earned a reputation as one of the hardest DJ’s in the scene.

Trick is an acclaimed dance music label and event brand owned and curated by global dance music icon, Patrick Topping.

The Newcastle native launched Trick in 2019 as a platform to spot and champion emerging artists, both in the studio and behind the decks. Since then, Trick has become one of the scene's most popular underground dance music event brands and record labels, launching the careers of some of the UK's biggest ticket-sellers and creating a cult fan following along the way.

As a record label, Trick is set to his 100 releases in 2024 and has given an outlet to many new signings who have since become some of the fastest-rising stars in the UK, such as Ben Hemsley, Hannah Laing and Ewan McVicar, who delivered platinum-certified “Tell Me Something Good” along the way. 

Trick's loyal fanbase has become one of the most passionate communities in dance music, with fans sporting Trick's signature lightning bolt on merchandise and tattoos at events throughout the UK and beyond.
