Patrick Topping recruits Hyyken for ‘So Good To Me’ on Trick this July. 

Irish DJ/producer Hyyken has been banging out infectious bends of garage, baseline, house and techno on labels like Fresh Take Records, Tech City and Trick, where he last appeared with 'Acid Riddim' in April. His club-friendly style is robust and built to make an impact but never at the expense of fresh musical flavours. 

The brilliantly euphoric 'So Good To Me' is an all-out piano house belter. The drums are packed with punch, the bright chords dart up and down the scales, and a heartfelt vocal is the irresistible icing on the cake. It's full of joy and destined for open-air dance floors, boat parties, and plenty of dance floors in between. 

"It was probably the fastest I'd ever made a track! The weather was getting great again, and I was listening to so much Floorplan, I got a half day off work and went straight to the studio with an idea to make a gospel vocal house track. Wim Hof & Gavin Koolman unveil their new long-term collaborative project TRANSMISSION with their anthemic single ‘LOVE’. 

TRANSMISSION is the new collaborative project from wellness expert and master of mindfulness Wim Hof and multi-platinum selling producer Gavin Koolmon, founding member of The BRIT Awards-nominated group DISCIPLΞS. Following Gavin’s near-death experience, he trained with Hof, utilising his ice and breathing techniques to find inner peace, marking the birth of their relationship and united vision. Their collective mission is to create music that uses sounds and frequencies to shut off the thinking mind - infusing music and meditation to pave a gateway to healing. The aptly named ‘LOVE’ is the debut single in a long-term collaboration from the all-new TRANSMISSION. 

The anthemic ‘LOVE’ features a stirring motivational speech from Hof backed by serene strings that send shivers down the spine before the drums arrive to take things to the next level - full of positivity and joy. It’s a hypnotic house sound with plenty of rich synth details and is sure to empower dancefloors worldwide.

As with most of Parker’s output, ‘To The Edge’ is as devastatingly simple as it is effective, with an airtight, pumping groove underpinning an earworm riff and soaring vocal. Paired back and Euro-influenced, ‘To The Edge’ is dancefloor gold from a DJ/Producer who’s made his name turning his hand to a myriad of disco, house and techno styles.

A secret weapon in Parker and Topping’s sets for the past few years, ‘To The Edge’ has had an even longer gestation period that traces back to Parker’s London record shop trawls in the nineties.

“I remember buying Hand’s Burn’s ‘Good Shot at 'Plastic Fantastic (RIP) in Covent Garden in late 1997. The riff would occasionally pop back into my head as an idea to base something around, but after rediscovering my (battered) copy in 2018, I decided to get in the studio to work on a track straight away.” - Spencer Parker, Dec 2023.

Now, ‘To The Edge’ is set to be yet another winner for Spencer Parker and Trick.

Trick is an acclaimed dance music label and event brand owned and curated by global dance music icon, Patrick Topping.

The Newcastle native launched Trick in 2019 as a platform to spot and champion emerging artists, both in the studio and behind the decks. Since then, Trick has become one of the scene's most popular underground dance music event brands and record labels, launching the careers of some of the UK's biggest ticket-sellers and creating a cult fan following along the way.

As a record label, Trick is set to his 100 releases in 2024 and has given an outlet to many new signings who have since become some of the fastest-rising stars in the UK, such as Ben Hemsley, Hannah Laing and Ewan McVicar, who delivered platinum-certified “Tell Me Something Good” along the way. 

Trick's loyal fanbase has become one of the most passionate communities in dance music, with fans sporting Trick's signature lightning bolt on merchandise and tattoos at events throughout the UK and beyond. From completing a 9-date residency in 2022 at Ibiza's legendary DC10, to hosting a stage at EDC Orlando 2022, to attracting 10,000 ravers to The Warehouse Project in Manchester and bringing thousands to an Australian Debut in Melbourne in 2023. Then there is the Trick Weekenders, Budapest in 2022 and Tenerife in 2023. These events both saw 2,500 Trick Troops holiday and party together abroad, with Trick Tenerife this year set to double in size.
