Samples from the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic film 'Predator' are littered across many great Jungle and D&B tracks from the 90's. For a bit of fun I thought I'd try and use some of them along with parts of the score and effects sound to make a tearout D&B tune for the dance floor.

The Codename: RCRDS Broken trilogy concludes with ‘Broken Planet EP’, offering up four jungle bangers with a wide variety of influences.   The EP opens with Mineral’s monster ‘Underground Mentality’, precision primed to tear up dancefloors with its heady mix of distorted reeces, chopped breaks and ravey stabs.

Label debutant Charla Green switches things into a different direction with the stunning ‘No Stress’, a deep rolling summer-inflected vocal number which showcases this fast-rising artists talent’s beautifully.

Another debut joins the party as Toni Bassi drops the rolling footwork / juke of ‘Junak’, where mystical vocals combine with warped bass stabs and hypnotic riffs for a refreshingly modern vibe.

The EP closes with DJ Junk and Moakz’s collaboration ‘Illustrious Ideology’, where a seductive intro gives way to dark atmospherics and tearing synths to close the EP on a high.

A 2 hour mix of some of my favourite tracks featuring or involving the iconic MC Conrad, who tragically passed away recently.

You'll hear some of the classic 1990s tracks that his vocals were a part of, some tracks that we all remember him performing live to in recordings and live shows, some that he has produced, some from his Resonance label from the early 2020s and finally some of the great liquid tracks that showcased that phenomenal singing voice.

As a huge fan of Conrad for the past 30 years, it's been an emotional journey putting this together. I hope I've done him justice. Enjoy.

215 - Promised Land Vol. 1 - LTJ Bukem & MC Conrad (1996)

This is logical, this is a progression... The original and still one of the best sets around, LTJ's about to touch down. After much confusion I finally found the original 1996 version of LTJ's seminal Logical Progression 2 CD release. This is the mixed set (CD-B). Intelligent DnB at its finest. I've been looking for this set for a long time but have never been able to find it online, only the 2001 re-released version where the mixed CD was replaced with the 'Ministry of Sound Half A Decade Of Dance' 96 live set and different tracks on the un-mixed CD. I brought a 2nd hand copy from Discogs.com. I will do a mix using the tracks on the unmixed CD (CD-A) when I get some time.

No infringement of copyright is intended, I'm assuming it's ok to make this available to download as it's not possible to buy this new anymore. If there is a problem with copyright let me know and I'll remove it.
