This week's Disquiet prompt was to make music with 10 acoustic instrument samples from Daniel Diaz all in a shared key.

Daniel sent some really wonderful instruments (I would like to hang out in his studio!). I went through his recordings and tried to find loop points to turn them into pads or unusual instruments. I also experimented with playing them in different octaves. The looping handpan at the end comes from taking Daniel's improv on the pan, putting it Ableton's sampler, and then playing harmonies - Ableton will loop the original rhythm at different rates, creating polyrhythms.

I discovered on Sunday that I already had a decent (if weird) melody and pad. I was a little pressed for time, so I spent Monday working around that section, adding an intro, B section, and outro. It's weird, but I think I like it!

The title comes from the fact that I don't remember what I was thinking when I made the first half. I don't even remember making the first half!

@triermusic last submission (https://soundcloud.com/triermusic/two-of-three-disquiet0592) inspired me with his melody added to Andreas Kitzmann (https://soundcloud.com/andreas-kitzmann-27370936/disquiet0591). It reminded me the great Augustus Pablo. So I decided to dub and pay a tribute to the great melodica master.

I recorded bass and guitar tracks and a rhythmic experimental track with AudioThing Noises. Guitar & Noises are processed by AudioThing Outer Space for delay and reverb. I then added encoderaudio Ferro to give some tasty tape hiss, wow & flutter to my tracks.
It was challenging to work without a BPM and with such fluid structure.

My imagination is not flamboyant today, I just went for some linear playing, both an upright bass linear impro and an harmonica and synth simple straight drone.
