What kind of music would Dj Screw jam, dance, and dj to? I truly believe he would've been a veteran in the deep bass music genre at festivals and beyond. He brought hip hop to a deepness no one has ever heard of. He crossed genres with how he feels. Well, I'm here to carry the possibility of if Dj Screw would've continued crossing into exotic genres in todays time. This is my take of Chopping N Screwing in the likeliness of the man who, imo, laid the foundation for all deep bass music. RIP SCREW.

Critical Music’s latest powerhouse producer En:vy shifts tempos once again for ‘Alert’, effortlessly reworking his characteristically funk-drenched drum & bass sound within 140bpm.

As demonstrated with the impressively varied ‘Silver Riff’ EP earlier this year, the Austrian producer has little trouble bringing his characteristic ultra-tight grooves and richly layered bass to whatever style he cares to touch.

The tempo might be slower, but ’Alert’ loses none of the raw energy that’s helped rapidly make En:vy’s name - setting dense, gravelly bass oscillations against satisfyingly detuned response tones over a scuffling dubstep rhythm to scratch an itch you never realised you had.
