Most people don't know this but I am also a classical percussionist and have been playing percussion since I was 8.
Last year,when I first made a WIP of this track and sent it out to a livestream competition,it won the first place. Getting sooo many comments and new fans from it,sending messages to release this track really gave me the motivation to finish it up and well... here it is!
Meanwhile,I have been talking with my percussion teacher, Marios, for a long time about combining EDM and percussion and this track was perfect for it! It is mainly percussion driven, even on the second, melodic part so I sent it to him and he loved it.It took me a while to split the parts for each of the instruments,make the sheet music and synchronice everything while also maintaining both the organic and electronic balance in the live performance.But in the end it worked out,it was a huge honour for me to get over 10 people to practice tirelessly and perform it live on stage with me.What really paid off for all the hard work in the end was when people both my age and very older than me, came after to congratulate me and say how unique was what I did! It was an amazing way to express my music in a different means and I will definitely do it again in the future so expect more to come in this nature!
