The fifth episode of the microcastle podcast welcomes label artists Chicola & Sahar Z. The Israeli duo have been at the heart of Tel Aviv's electronic music culture for the last 20 years. A collective discography including Bedrock, Lost & Found, Suara and Sudbeat, along with an increasingly busy gig schedule have made Chicola and Sahar two of the underground's most sought after talents. Their recently released 'It Happened One Night EP' enjoyed great success, earning support and play from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Sasha, Stephan Bodzin, Maceo Plex,  Agents of Time, Pig & Dan, Furcoat and more. The release went on to reach the #1 position in Beatport's electronica chart for six consecutive days, also reaching #6 in the overall Top 100 and #3 and #2 in Techno and Progressive House respectively. 

The art of music programming is somewhat lost in today's younger generation of DJs. Growing up and opening for Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier and Carl Craig has instilled this art form in the duos blood. It's something that in over two decades of DJing has remained a huge proponent of their sets. One where each and every gig is an unforgettable journey with electric vibes and captivating sound stories. Although not normally performing together, Chicola and Sahar have prepared a special 80 minute mix for their microcastle podcast. Beginning with an exclusive and unreleased intro version of the duo's 'It Happened One Night', the mix methodically works its way through deep grooves and warm ambient textures, ultimately building to more distinct motifs and melodious techno, before an emotive finale takes you home. Highlighting the mix are several unreleased projects along with a few selections from their recently released EP and a few surprises as well. It's a journey you're going to continually discover new things about, so we suggest just sitting back and getting lost in the music. Enjoy!

His drive is to create comes from his ever growing Global social awareness. Singer Songwriter, Entertainer, Author, F&B Mgr., Security Advisor and All-round Urban-Guru.
He is used to create a lot using a little and sees many of his productions as ideas & blue-prints to be build upon. 
Started as a bartender and part time DJ in the Eighties at the local Amsterdam nightclubs the #Okshoofd and #Schakel49.  Played percussion for DJ's over twenty years with a.o. Dimitry and Eddy the Clerq In the famous Amsterdam #Roxy #Paradiso and played all over Europe..
He founded the ,' #Meltingpot ', foundation (M.P.M.) in #Amsterdam. Producing many cultural events for upcoming artists in Arts Music and Fashion 1994 > 1995 in the Amsterdam Milky Way. 

1992 produced and presented progressive Hip-hop Funk and Rock sessions in the infamous #CafedeDuivel.   In 1996 he released his first album ,' #STONED_AGAIN ', throughout Scandinavia with his band the Amsterdam #DevilsJam with whom he Toured Europe for 5 years, while he kept on playing #percussion for many DJ's. This also resulted in a five year cooperation between him and the #Wickedjazzsounds  An ongoing weekly Live Music & DJ -act at the Amsterdam Sugar Factory.

In 2008 he Globally released another EP ,' the TRINITY', with friend and producer Alex from Ugochill.com productions.
