Hello I’m Scruppy Doo. 

I’m 37 years old and I have loved music my whole life. I grew up listen to rock and country music but I fell in love with the heavy bass lines of early nineties EDM. The Prodigy opened my eyes to a new sound when I heard their  song “smack my bitch up” for the first time when I was in my early teens. Ever since then I have looked for even heavier sounding music. However I was also a huge fan of Rap and Pop music because they borrow sounds from the Edm genre. 

I have a artistic and film based background. I have done work on a few short films and am Co-Founder of a stop animation company. Corbee Animations. I love to paint and draw and find creative ways to express my moods and emotions to others. 

When it comes to music I attempt to use my melodies as a painting. I want the listener to feel my emotions in ways some find unnatural and maybe a little uncharacteristic to what the popular sounds are being played on mainstream radio. My first album “35” is a pure painting of raw emotions from beginning to end. It explores love, breakup and deep depression and anxiety. It was something that I didn’t expect to be a hit. A little Easter egg of sorts. The track “Exhale” is a audio painting of what one of my panic attacks are like. They are very chaotic and stressful to my body. The different elements in the track represent different parts of my body throughout the entire episode. 

Lately my music has changed to be more vocal. I know I have a interesting sound and may not be the strongest vocalist but just singing and getting my feelings out for others is helping me release the things I hold on too. I am teaching myself everything. No lessons no help. In the future I plan on trying to take some. But right now I’m just exploring the world of music ,just like I do with any other kind of art, by experimenting. 

I hope you all enjoy what I create and don’t be afraid to offer up some creative and helpful criticism.
