Nipsey Hussle gave me the confidence to have an entrepreneurial mind and write music with a purpose and a message. He preached and cared so much about helping others that it became contagious. He never let tough circumstances around him bring him down. The things he would say in his music, I could feel in my heart but I couldn't articulate it. He repped his neighborhood with a sense of pride and it motivated me to voice where I come from. 


His intelligence struck me while I was studying in college to become a teacher. He knew the ins and outs of the music industry as well as other enterprises. He provided me with a blueprint of reading, meditating, eating healthy, and helping the youth. The more I listened to his music, the more I wanted to learn about the music industry and become a mogul in my own right. He made me comfortable playing the "marathon" game. Like my mother would say (now she's in heaven), “Good things come to those who wait".


I never knew what royalties and masters were until I infused myself with the music of Nipsey Hussle. He still gives me the passion to be an owner of my intellectual property as well as real estate and other things (stocks, bonds, etc). He wanted to be respected as a human being more than your typical rapper. He inspired me and so many other people from my neighborhood because his movement was built off “You can get it, too”. He taught me to master my energy and the relevance of the law of attraction. I refuse to give up on my dream and Nipsey Hussle is a big reason why. He’s an example of a rose that grew from the concrete and I plan to blossom just like he did.
