People often react to some of the adjustments Disabled People receive with "Lucky You!". Like somehow, they are being handed privileges that the 'non-disabled' are excluded from!
We are sure there is an essay somewhere, by some non-poc person (probably without a disability) talking about the 'privilege of disability'... *massive eye roll* 🙄 Leave it.

The Triple Cripples phenomenon started following a conversation between founders Kym & Jay. We discussed the lack of representation and or visibility of disabled Black women and Femmes. Neither of us had seen ourselves depicted... anywhere. Like.. At. All.

Being the bad bitches that we are, instead of waiting for something to be done, we decided to 'BE the change that we wanted to see'!

Triple Cripples is intended to be a platform that highlights the lives and loves of disabled black & non-Black Women, Femmes & Non-Binary People of Colour. We KNOW that there are others like us, who are extraordinary members of their individual societies. We want to help share those spectacular and regular stories (because not everyday sensationalism, sometimes chill)!
