Although ‘Circles’ is just the debut release for South Australian solo artist George Alice, it shows the impressive depth and talent that the 16 year old has developed performing and busking since the age of ten and sharing stripped back covers of her favourite artists including Stella Donnelly, Billie Eilish and Matt Corby.

Working closely with his schoolmate and producer OJC43, 17 year old rapper/songwriter MALi JO$E has the kind of dexterous flow and laidback charisma that comes from his heavy intake of influences both old school and new.

Proving himself to be a legit multi-threat, year 12 student Nick Ward writes, produces, mixes and masters all his own work from his bedroom setup. He’s brought that sense of intimacy to the remarkable ‘Skin’ – a track that balances crushingly relatable lyrics on identity with dreamy electronic layers.

Since falling in love with songwriting at age 15 Tulliah has been working ambitiously towards a career in music from her family’s farm on the Mornington Peninsula. Debut track ‘Company’ introduces us to this powerful new voice, and in the hands of Tulliah it’s one that awakens the soul.

This year, a record 1,500 songs were entered into Unearthed High.

We introduced you to our five finalists last week and before Ben and Liam surprise this year's Unearthed High winner materialising out of the sky and crash landing on a random school oval in a hot air balloon, we wanted to toast to the class of 2019.

There were so many good entries this year; so many kids with bright futures in music, so much to celebrate, and we'll do it here.

He made a big impact in such a short amount of time, and helped shift emo rap music into the mainstream. He especially had an impact on young Australian musicians, and today we want to celebrate the legacy he left behind.
