"В этой работе мне было интересно поразмышлять о потерянных будущих и обрушившихся утопических проектах, и о том, как это влияет на наше восприятие окружающей действительности в данный момент, когда мы находимся в безвременном лимбе, а сама идея будущего устарела. Кажется, концепция утопии стала своего рода артефактом, лишенным надежды на материальное воплощение. Временная петля позволяет нам лишь мечтать о неком призрачном выходе из застоя. Я постарался собрать разрозненные островки надежды на выход из этой временной петли, который был бы оторван как от настоящего, так и от архивного прошлого."

"It was interesting for me to reflect on the lost future and collapsed utopian projects, and how this affects our perception of the surrounding reality at the moment when we are in an untimely limbo, and the idea of the future is outdated. It seems that the concept of utopia has become a kind of artifact, devoid of hope for material embodiment. The time loop only allows us to dream of a kind of ghostly way out of stagnation. I tried to collect scattered islands of hope for a way out of this time loop, which would be torn away from both the present and the archival past."

A new mix for the calm series was prepared by the creator of a musical project from Moscow – eolet.

For a long time eolet had been playing the role of a listener and came to writing music only when he reached that very personal point of listening, realizing that that’s it, now I have something to say too. Today we will meet that listener, whose discoveries led him to start own music production.

You could hear his debut performance at Beatriz Gardens at last year's Signal Festival.
This summer, @bea3trizzz launched a label and on October 13 is going to release the first collaboration `Voices` betwen eolet and the creator of the previous calm series mix – @gassenengel.

«The mix invites the listener to take part in a journey of musical domains where the sound is formed of unclear structures and not contrasting outlines, where it tells about phenomena hidden from view in bright light, unfolding in a slow and continuous flow»

eolet – W Λ V E S C Λ L M

This new introspective and minimalistic song by Koiwa was recorded using a special instrument, created during the experimental lutherie workshop dictated by Javier Bustos.
Layered subtly with the producer's signature processed sounds, the sparse phrases are spectrally followed by an elusive phantom of sound. Silence plays a role of expectation and release, giving space for the next soft phrase to arrive elegantly.
