“Oh Girlie Come” is a romantic fusion of afrobeats, merengue, and reggaeton. The lyrics, composed by Ghanaian singer and composer Rashid Malik a.k.a Leeks, describe the love of a boy for a girl through a phone call conversation that turns into a private concert, describing how wonderful their relationship has been and the many reasons they should stay together. 

With rhythm, melodies and a late night vibe, Dominican producer blended the lyrics and vocals with his authentic sound to bring into life an idea that started in his bedroom in the city of Boston, MA and travel to Ghana, Africa and back to America in order to amaze the world with a mix of cultures that are so distant but yet so closed and connected in many ways.

21st Century Sisyphean Mantra

This composition was created as part of a research-led project exploring the relationship between music and relaxation. It was created as part of my dissertation project on the cognitive and emotional effects of ambient music. Inspired by neuroscience, sound therapy and the song called "Weightless" by Marconi Union. que se llevó a su madre

Su expresión, que es muy dura,
le roba la dulzura

que, a pesar de sus años,
el odio ha dibujado
con un semblante muy hostil.

Señor, al preguntar por mi mamá,
me han dicho que usted se la ha llevado:
que ahora estará en el cielo a su lado
pero que nunca a casa volverá.

Mi mamá era su amiga
pues siempre me decía
que tenía que rezar
y antes de acostarme
y también al levantarme
