There are some fascinating sequences that have a tribal but very much electronic feel to them.... like several attempts to invoke ghostly spirits... effectively realised by sound....

Of course, that's what we thought yesterday :))

This is a demo for a song that will be released on my metal instrumental album. This track starts off using orchestral pads and then leads into a darker tonality. I used 2 acoustic guitars, one an old Dean I've had for years and a nylon string guitar. It all culminates into an end guitar solo that leads the song into a fade out. I recorded my rhythm parts on a 7 string jackson and ibanez and then I recorded my guitar leads and solos using my custom schecter.

This is a ghost story...

I’m waiting, just outside the garden wall

As the final light of summer fades

And this becomes a magic place

The Twilight Garden

With my good friend Dan-DT, who is a master of his musical genre, and his help with his fantastic strings, choirs, piano and not least Clara's beautiful voice to lift this little observation of fairies in the first light of the morning into something that became magical . ;)

Try to feel, experience and see this in front of you.....
When you went out into the morning light in the forest you love to walk in to find serenity, stillness and quietude, you suddenly heard quiet music, and after a few more steps, you saw them dancing and singing there in a clearing in the shimmering morning light. 
The fairies. ;)

To sit down in the soft moss and experience the joy and love they gave you with their music, dance and song, above all the beauty we are surrounded by in our world, and to bring their world into your mind, was an otherworldly experience. And a very strong realization that our earth is the only home we have, and it is our children's future. ;)

My warmest thanks to you Dan, for your friendship, and your magical musicality. You are very much appreciated in my world my friend!

Notes: 
The leading track off the debut album for The Welcome Parade. An indie effort through and through with a group of people who wanted to make some noise.  

This was the last song in for the album and it show cases what 8 months of working together has changed.  Jay sent this out, with a description of his vision.  I think both Thom and I were floored and a bit dazed, as we tried to get our footing on this beast. 

I think this is the first time Jay uniformly received push back from both of us.  The things he wanted changed, simply refused. He had nailed such a strong performance in every spot he occupied.  

We had our first all hands meeting yesterday as a band and everyone got a few laughs out of this piece.  Jay's story about his voice being hoarse 2 days after recording this.  Thom's story "I am not sure I want to play on this".  Jeff's refusing to do backing vocals "How the f**k do I do better than what you already did, no absolutely not".

A fellowship of music lovers with a penchant for something honest out of our work.  I hope you will join me in supporting The Welcome Parade(@thewelcomeparade).
