Metodi Hristov drops Warp Drive - a fittingly titled track that starts as it means to go on - hurtling through space at breakneck speed. The drums and percs fire the whole thing along while the bass and pads bring a sense of movement and excitement that never lets up. Strap in for this one.

Kaufmann’s Unravel Me sits nicely in this compilation - a tightly wound track that builds its energy over the full almost 9 minutes. The almost motorik drums maintain the groove while alien
sounds and metallic stabs add drama and energy. The vocal is a perfect encouragement to let go and feel the moment in all its glory.
Luis M’s Invisible Light is a hard-packed bomb - the groove is tight, built around a thick kick and precision hats and percussion. As the track progresses arpeggiated synths and dense slabs of sound wash across the track - the atmosphere is electric.

Senso boss Oliver Huntemann first released the original version of Magnet in 2011 as a part of his Paranoia LP on Ideal Audio. A few years later, Brazil’s leading underground techno light Victor Ruiz reworked the track into an unofficial bootleg, which since had been rinsed by Ruiz, Huntemann and a slew of top DJs around the world. Such was its effect on the dance-floor, it’s now finally receiving an official release via Senso in a slightly updated version. The track itself is a lesson in tough, driving techno - unrelenting in its mission, yet infused with layers of subtlety and deeply funky beeps, squelches and effects. It’s a machine-funk monster, and it’s easy to see why the bootleg clocked up over 225,000 listens on Soundcloud.

Senso Sounds roars back into life with another double from the label’s main man, Oliver Huntemann. Continuing the incredible output on the label this year, Huntemann sets his sights on two opposing poles, north and south. Nordpol transmits an icey atmosphere, razor sharp synths cutting through the mix over a muscular bassline and Huntemann’s trademark precision-hard drums. Südpol starts out as the deeper of the two, but retains a steely backbone - pulsing and driving its way through the speakers, slowly working up into an all out techno-frenzy. Two huge tracks that standout from the masses - as always with the Senso Sounds stable.
