Following the release of Nina Kraviz’s “Skyscrapers” single the renowned producer, singer and DJ has enlisted a series of artists close to her heart: deep house icon Solomun, Berghain resident Ryan Elliott as well as трип artists PTU and Vladimir Dubyshkin for the first remix package.

There is a remix for everyone: Solomun revamped the track into an epic peak time club anthem whilest Ryan Elliott gave Skyscrapers a Detroit techno makeover. Ryan's second tension dub mix is an excellent techno tool for early morning DJ sets. PTU took the eccentric route they know so well to a cyberpunk utopia. Finally Vladimir Dubyshkin, Tambov's finest, delivered 4 (!) iridescent remixes playing with moods and intensity like no one else can.

Ellen Allien and the We Are Not Alone collective are back with a second edition of the We Are Not Alone series. A 36-track compilation split into 3 parts, each consisting of 12 cuts, dedicated to the infamous We Are Not Alone event series and the best of Berlin’s underground techno talent.

Ellen Allien's innovative party series We Are Not Alone was launched in 2016 and remains committed to inviting an exciting crew of artists to perform at the 36 hour events, now in a new home at RSO.BERLIN, where they returned with bang over 36 hours and 3 floors in May.

The We Are Not Alone compilation features artists that have played at the parties, as well as those who will join the line-up for future events. The 4th, 5th and 6th parts include music by Ellen and established names such as Thomas P. Heckmann, Dollkraut & DJ Europarking, Francois X, Phase Fatale and Etapp Kyle. Rising stars Nene H, Nur Jaber, Stephanie Sykes, Wallis and Métaraph. BPitch signings include Rosa Anschütz, Shaleen, Matasism and Uncrat.

For this instalment of the series, Ellen Allien collaborates with esteemed director and photographer Stini Roehrs for the multidisciplinary project ‘’AFTER DARK – Emotional States of Techno’’, consisting of a virtual rave film, book and exhibition produced by AKKURAT Studios, and the We Are Not Alone VA, which is to be released physically and digitally via BPitch.

The next We Are Not Alone parties take place at RSO, Berlin in July, August and October of this year. 22nd July, CSD weekend, is set to be a single night event on two floors. 20th August a We Are Not Alone floor during the RSO Club Festival and then we’ll be back for over 30 hours on 15th & 16th October. This release will have you dancing and crying at the same time. On his debut album, Paris-based producer and founder of the ‘raw poetry’ aesthetic Loyce Demellier - AKA DJ Physical - takes us on a fast-paced journey through techno, electro, breaks and more. Whilst the music’s indisputable home is the club, Physical teases out moments of playfulness and sentimentality amongst hard-hitting electronics.

‘Silver Lake’ LP resides on the colder, more industrial side of Demellier’s sonic spectrum, following on from his latest release on London imprint 1Ø PILLS MATE which saw him depart from the more lofi quality of his previous releases in favour of a raw, club-focused sound. On the A-side, Demellier situates the release within the context of old warehouse raves, with euphoric acid melodies and a 140BPM propulsion (‘Uranium’); and high-pitched synth stabs that ascend from darkness (‘Gold Mines’). The B-side maintains the pace, but this time it’s about electro and breaks. On ‘Overshoot’, reverberating cymbals add another layer of depth to Amen break interludes whilst ‘Lawbreaker’ harnesses a cheekier tone, offering respite from the previous tracks’ venom.

This air of playfulness sticks around on ‘Lunatic State’ helped by MPC drum claps and a ludic electro melody, before fellow Parisian Ika Sile steps up for ‘Early Sprinter’ and ‘Bootybounce’: the former offering a slicker take on acid techno and the latter: rave music at its absolute with piano stabs and sleazy vocal chops.
