@bjarki is relentless. The Icelandic artist has admitted in the past he is obsessed with making music. And since his debut in 2015 there has been a lot of it - six albums and plenty of EPs, mostly on Nina Kraviz's трип, !K7 and his own bbbbbb label. It is always bold and innovative whether taking the form of a straight up club banger or abstract IDM composition. He has released it under more than 10 different names, and what unifies it all is its experimental spirit. 

You could say the same about this week's podcast, which begins with kiddie favourite 'The Birdie Song' before slipping into spoken word monologues, ice cold broken beats and twisted rhythms. They unfold at a relentless pace, with quick and seamless transitions from electro to techno to club music immersing you deep in Bjarki's unique sonic psyche. The cumulative effect is like a busy collage; an outpouring of captivating music from an overactive mind.

Halina World is a Warsaw-based DJ who is remorselessly in love with the 90's/2000's aesthetic, which is why, apart from just house and techno, you can hear different genres in her selection. This approach makes you feel like her selection is like a kaleidoscope beaming with many colors which will make your head and the dancefloor spin. Her sets are ruled by one factor: groove. She's played at Wisłoujście and LAS Festival and many club nights from Warsaw to... Bangkok. As a promoter she aims to create gender-balanced lineups and a friendly atmosphere for everyone.

TAGIN — молодой артист Московской электронной сцены, отметившийся своими сетами в таких местах силы как Underdog, The Last Bar и клуб «КЛУБ».
Саша один из сооснователей команды OllO, исследующие звуковые грани чувств, различных жанров музыки. В своих сетах он исследует звучание рейвов 90-х и 00-х, смешивая транс, минимал и мелодичное техно.

В сете для PRGRPHS было исследование различных жанров, а точнее их ритмов. Что в целом и дало новый синтез звучания каноничного рейва.

Новый гость нашей рубрики о молодых артистах — диджей @houdant, переехавший в Москву из Красноярска. Свой путь он начал, когда купил пару виниловых проигрывателей Technics 1200 у закрывавшегося в родном городе клуба: так Миша стал собирать винил и учиться сведению.

За плечами диджея — выступления на фестивалях в Томске и других городах Сибири, диджей-сет на дне заброшенного бассейна, а еще релизы на лейблах «Мособлэлектро», Resonance Moscow и Ovelha Trax. Микс для нашего сообщества Миша наполнил гипнотичным техно, веселыми притрансованными ритмами и хаусом.

Bjarki is from Iceland. Born and raised. Despite the fact that Bjarki is known for making extremely powerful dancefloor tracks he doesn’t seem to belong to any particular genre. Something this triptych of LPs demonstrate very well. His music is at times cinematic and there’s a story behind each track. Bjarki’s music always has something to do with him personally, but he’d rather the listener lose themselves in the music than pay much attention to the man behind them. Either on a record or to one of his ever evolving live sets.

Б | Lefhanded Fuqs | Æ are being released over the coming months and represent a snapshot of his archive, selected by Nina Kraviz for Trip.The tracks were produced months ago, years ago, or in the case of the last track just a couple of weeks ago.What began with 30 tracks is now 41.The three LPs aren’t albums in the traditional sense - the concept being to release the contents of his burgeoning hard drives.The music might fit together like an album, but Bjarki doesn’t see it that way. It’s essentially an archive that sounds like an album but none of the music was made with this in mind.

‘’I think making an album is always hard, especially with all critiques that can be scary, in the end I just want people to enjoy what I put out without the music being forced into some category’’.

"Æ" [TRP010 | 28th October] is a particularly Icelandic form, pronounced “I” in English, Bjarki thinks it just looks good. Here it is a selection of music that is at its core quite simple, with restrained instrumentation, made on hardware. A selection of old works and the most recent produced just weeks ago.

Berghain residents Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann link back to Ostgut Ton’s label launch in 2006 with their first studio collaboration in ten years and the extended Phantom Studies, on occasion of the one hundredth O-TON 12“ EP release.

With Phantom Studies Dettmann | Klock channel their first joined releases Dawning (2006) and Scenario (2007) from over a decade ago with their first co-production in ten years. On this extended, 40-minute 2x12" EP Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock parlay their deep personal alliance and musical repertoire through emphasis on new functional Techno as much as hypnotic, melodic and soulful music by thinking outside the box. The seven new, original tracks reflect these attributions by communicating to the needs and expectations of both DJs and home audio listeners, but not neglecting one over the other.
