The sound of the radio has always been an integral part of my musical experience. Growing up in the sprawling city of Los Angeles a lot of time is spent driving in the car, with the radio on. Switching from station to station trying to find the sounds you desire. Before portable audio devices this was the main way to listen to music, in the car as you rode the endless southern California boulevards. Latin radio, talk radio, commercials, station ids all coming through the radio dials. I tried to combine my love of radio with my love of the music of Vangelis; this is how ‘Lovers Radio’ came about. 
The track was remixed by The Orb who added some brilliant beats and samples taking the track to a place I could have never imagined. When I asked my friends to do some remixes from my album ‘Serenitay Infinitay’ many chose the track ‘Lovers Radio’  and I was very happy with the results. To have ambient legends like The Orb & Dr Atmo as well as good friends from the bay area underground Marshall Watson and Chlorophil do their own versions, was a dream come true.

Music is my passion, my life. Love to experiment. Started learning from scratch how to make techno back in high school. I loved techno, but I felt that there is something missing. I still remember how I would listen to the sets searching for that melodic techno tracks that I always enjoyed listening so much (ex. James Holden - One For You). So I decided to experiment with that. I always thought that blending the elements of different styles would sound great. Little did I know that that is exactly what is happening. There were suddenly no particular guidelines or boundaries. I mostly don't care about the genre and style but progressive is my style of choice.

I use only computers in my productions. First: because I don`t have money to buy expensive hardware. Second: with computers everything is easy to maintain & organize. Third: with my new Quad Core, 8 Gb RAM laptop only my imagination is the limit. Plus, I can also produce and mix at the same time.

Also love to build effects & instruments, researching new DSP & synthesis methods & create new sounds when I`m bored.

I'm a metal designer by profession but i also finished graphic & web design course. Very interested in merging audio & video technologies with tools like: Processing, Pure Data, Csound, Max/MSP & HTML5 to mention a few. I am also a huge fan of fractals, l-systems, generative and algorithmic design & their application in music.

For a veteran chillout producer to successfully navigate the transition to sought-after producer / remixer and DJ within the Progressive House scene, is not an easy ask. But Nick Brennan a.k.a. Tripswitch’s melodic, emotionally charged, proper progressive DJ sets at amazing events around the world have resulted him gaining a loyal and ever-growing global audience. In 2017 Nick launched his onedotsixtwo label, with its distinct forward-thinking proper progressive ethos. Impeccable curation and the remarkable smash single ‘Voight Kampff’ (courtesy of Tripswitch & Nick Warren) have already seen onedotsixtwo recognised as a ‘Vital Label’ by DJ Mag USA in 2019.

Never one to limit himself creatively, early 2020 saw Tripswitch release ‘Memento Mori’, his hugely anticipated first chillout album in 10 years.
