Erot is Tore Kofod born in 1986 in Aalborg, Denmark. As a child he played recorder and drums, but stopped at the age of 9. In an early age he showed interest in electronic music: first it was Kraftwerk, and then later, he expanded to the sounds of Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and such. In the age of 10 he heard his first goa track, and was fascinated and thrilled with this type of music and the emotions he felt.


Tore production skills varies to several ranges, creating mostly positive music with warm feelings, with great groovy and optimistic sounds, he manages to create music with a unique touch, with uplifting moods. But his range follows also more downside paths with reflective and contemplative music. Since the early releases Tore has been faithfull to his unique style, but always pushing new boundaries and experimentations, and the result is the wide spectrum of styles since pure Chill Out, to more ambient tunes, from psychill passing through the more uptempo part of chillout to even progressive music.

His inspiration comes from daylife experiences. His creativity flows from the simplest moments in life to most exciting events, where he transforms those feelings in music loosing his mind to the multilayered leads that he creates to turn sounds into emotions.

Mindspring Music presents: Twin Shape – 45 – The 2020 Remixes [MSM090] 

45 is the track that kicked off the whole Twin Shape project. It was originally given away as a free track and licensed to some compilations, being written in 2009 and made available in 2010. Now, it has been completely remixed, 10 years later, by several Mindspring Mainstays and newcomers. The unique idea here, is that the artists are remixing Twin’s 2020 remix – as opposed to the original – like some sort of remix fractal! We have come full circle! He has taken his new mix down a different path, using a four-to-the-floor Downtempo Psytrance groove, and bassline, that picks up the pace. The elements are more refined and scaled back, to reveal a more meditative side of the original, with plenty of new sound design for the remixers to play with. 

Gleekch is first up on remix duties, and he turns things up a notch by playing with bouncy, Psychedelic, and glitchy, 180BPM passages. Experimental & light-hearted, this mix brings out a playful energy. Next, we have Kri & EarthCry, a welcome collab whose collective modular rigs provide enough power to launch this remix beyond the stratosphere. They elected to keep a similar vibe, but they bring to the table a dreamy – synthy – atmosphere. When these two put their heads together, magic happens. Babilu have also contributed, hot on the heels of their first album, adding a dubby take with welcome acoustic elements. Their signature, World, sound is married to juicy growls and bass stabs. Our last destination is guided by Lesmus, who shows us a harsher glimpse into 45. With its discordant and twisted opening, the familiar is turned upside down. But, after the first break, it all pulls together and turns into a mysterious reflection.

Original track for the Iboga compilation "Mutantribe - Compiled by Supercozi". I'm sharing the tracklist with the likes of Blue Planet Corporation, Hibernation, Gaudi, Kilowatts, Gus Till, Zen Lemonade, Supercozi, Eastern Rebel Alliance and Digitalis so it's gonna be a great comp :)

Originally released on Dragonfly Records in 2005, Tripswitch's debut album Circuit Breaker landed to widespread critical acclaim and became recognised as one of the landmark releases of the psy-chill genre, establishing Nick as one of the godfathers of the scene. Tracks from the album were picked up for numerous compilation licenses by the likes of Nick Warren, Jose Padilla and Claude Challe, and continue to be licensed for compilations, TV and film - most recently "Roll Your Own" has been included in the soundtrack to the Bollywood movie "The Blueberry Hunt". 

The first release quickly sold out and 2 years later, by which time copies were changing hands on ebay for as much as $150, Dragonfly re-released it as a double CD package including a completely reworked edition with versions of each track from a clutch of the world's top electronic producers. 

Both original releases were dogged by digital distribution issues and were therefore never available for download in many parts of the world. Section Records inherited and sold off the remaining CD stock in 2010,  and in 2012 re-issued the original 2005 Circuit Breaker album as part of our own digital catalogue. Now in 2013, we're delighted to be able to add Circuit Breaker Rewired to that collection, completing the Tripswitch discography and finally making it available worldwide.

For a veteran chillout producer to successfully navigate the transition to sought-after producer / remixer and DJ within the Progressive House scene, is not an easy ask. But Nick Brennan a.k.a. Tripswitch has done just that – and with distinction. It was his Tripswitch ‘Vagabond’ album (Iboga Records, 2016) that cemented his highly rated status as a key dance producer beyond doubt. The album rose to the top of the Beatport charts, hitting #1 in Electronica and holding at #2 in Progressive House for 3 months.

Since then, a flawless resumé of releases on Bedrock, Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Movement, Balkan Connection, Flow Vinyl, Pure Progressive and many more creatively exciting labels, has seen Tripswitch’s progressive stock grow exponentially. Chart-topping collaborative studio projects with Nick Warren and Hernán Cattaneo, along with a huge bootleg remix of London Grammar’s ‘Rooting For You’, helped to propel him to the upper reaches of the production cosmos.

Tripswitch’s melodic, emotionally charged, proper progressive DJ sets at amazing events around the world have resulted him gaining a loyal and ever-growing global audience.
