The track begins with a slow, steady beat that feels like a gentle pulse, accompanied by a soft piano melody. The piano notes are simple and soothing, playing a repetitive pattern that lulls you into a relaxed state. As the track progresses, other instruments gradually join in, adding layers of texture and depth to the music.  Overall, the vibe of the track is dreamy and introspective, with a touch of melancholy. Dont Cry For Love (chill downtempo)

This was not the post I was planning on making today but I had a freaking revelation.

What if the reason my rebrand went so well 9 years ago is because I was finally giving myself permission to be who I was becoming? Who I was at that moment.

I've always said it was one of the smartest things I did in my DJ career because musically I had been going in a different direction. That I felt so much more welcomed in this other genre and industry of music. Yet I had a completely different perspective of what I wanted and what that would mean. Whereas with the old brand I felt stuck. As if thoughts and opinions that had been pushed on me for years, even though I didn't want to be attached to them. I allowed these people to have negative influences on me. Even if just doubting myself. It didn't stop me from doing the things I wanted to do but I needed that extra push to let go of the toxic s*** it had been through to move on to the next level.

This had been such a healing experience for me. When I had come across adversity it was so much easier to cope with because I was a new person. I was allowing myself to be that person and showing up as such.  

Fast forward to today, I decided to reimagine what I could do and be if I fully embraced who I am and who I am becoming in my new venture. Instead of rebranding or dropping the Kilma brand, I've decided to reimagine what it would look like to be in the drum and bass scene again. 

To remind myself that not only am I safe and supported but I am exactly where I want to be. I'm so excited to share the incredible projects I'm working on, the people and the community I get to be a part of.

On April 22nd I will be playing my first DJ Gig out as DKV. I will still work within the realms of my Kilma project focused on house and techno music. But DKV will allow me to explore the heavier side of break beats and the bass music I fell in love with when this all began.

If you are a drum and bass head I hope you'll join my friends and I for a dance and a drink or two in a couple of weeks. In the meanwhile I have uploaded my Reimagined promotional mix. Perfect for cruising, working out at the gym or just having a little dance party at home.

This is a blend of tracks and styles I've gained and played around with over the years. The longer I DJ, the more I dive deeper into different genres like Break Beats, Trap, Deep/Tech/Bass/Acid House, UK Garage and Drum and Bass. Finding ways to blend and mix them in a fun and magical way. Figuring out more intricate ways to elevate a dance floor to match the visions within my mind. 👾

Here's a nice taste of what's to come for me, as I continue to go deeper and deeper. 🫠

Presenting Gold Dust Forever, for those who want to reminisce to the timeless feel good classic, in about 32 different ways over the better part of an hour.

It has been arranged, performed, and mixed until I heard phantom Gold Dust calling my in my sleep. I could probably still listen to that song again though... in a few months.

MAY MEGA MIX 2023

I had the most fun putting this set together and watching everyone dance to it Friday night at the festival as the sunset and it got nice and dark! Bring Your Love festival of arts just keeps getting bigger and better every year and I'm so happy they continue to have me back every year to play for them. 

I've been getting big time into mixing bass heavy genres the past couple years and this is the culmination of some of my favorite Trap, Future Bass and Drum n Bass tracks out there!

I've been meaning to start this new project of mine, a series of mixes that represent my trip through the years as a DJ. 

We'll be starting with UK Garage, it's been a favorite genre of mine ever since a good friend of mine introduced me to it a decade ago and I've been hooked ever since!

Well in the past few months I compiled a lot of really good UK Garage and just recorded this. I had the time of my life and danced with some of my family as they came to join me at points while recording it. 😊
