At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals.In 2015, he founded the DJ collective “deep stories” together with Kork, which is very successful with its podcast series on Soundcloud thanks to its innovative concept. He is currently on tour in Hamburg and Berlin with the deep stories showcase.

Greetings to all.

I'm rather happy to share with you the "PatchWork" edition of Enchanting Dreamtales as it is a special and quite personal project that was conceived a little over a year ago. Around that time a lot had going on in my life and the dynamics between highs and lows were pretty dense. It was a rather emotional period and a lot of experiences, special dates and other occasions that I wanted to mark, got intertwined. Long story short, I missed my moment to do as I intended and put a mix together that packs up all these things in one place but an initial selection was done. One year later, the same motivations kicked back in and more of these meaningful and essential tracks got added to the list. The end result is a fact and I feel quite proud to share it with you as it truly believe it paints the picture of these moments while telling an intriguing and somewhat coherent story.

"PatchWork" is a tribute to Spring, to pure and natural beauty (within, outside and all around), to hope, to peace, to freedom, to unity, to friendship, to the ones we love strongly and unconditionally, to the ones we miss, to new life, to our dreams and aspirations and beyond, to the brighter future and to anything else that music can evoke!

Everything Counts takes us on a deep-seated journey to the western coast of Africa. The coastal village
of Mbodiene is at the core and fora of this picturesque three-part series, started off by the Swiss duo’s
original mix. Half Toshka, half Chris Leon, Everything Counts render quixotic soundscapes, combining
Afro-infused rhythms, earthy percussion and tribal soul into electronic ambience, by grace of melody.
Calabria’s Matt Sawyers joins us and his longtime friends with a reinterpretation of Mbodiene. Teeming
with ethnic dreaminess and soothing progressions, Matteo Cacciola’s mix is a halcyon escape to indulge
our sonic reveries. Yielding a brusque, fiery take on the original, Mozambique’s Double Drop wraps up
MBR418 with a rawer Mbodiene - warm, impassioned and rooted in the rich, resonant grounding of our
mother continent. In this 20:54 minute flight, we dance our way to the destination, and alas, we can just
keep going there.
