‘Tula’ conceptualises 5 stages of progression; from the coming of the universe and planet Earth to the destruction and undoing of all life and beauty due to our incompetence and selfishness as a species, interpreted through Mayan mythology.

The Mayans believed that their God of peace, the Feathered Serpent, had arrived from the Eastern Sea. He founded their cities, formed laws, taught them how to be civilised and peaceful and gave them the skills and knowledge needed to thrive as a civilisation while forbidding the practice of human sacrifice.

This enlightened rule of the Feathered Serpent was then brought to an end by the malevolent God, Smoking Mirror, whose nightmarish cult demanded human sacrifice. Smoking Mirror was associated with night, darkness and the sacred jaguar. A struggle of light and darkness took place at the ancient site, Tula. After battling each other for a number of years the Feathered Serpent was defeated and then driven out of Tula.

Along with great sadness he sailed off again in the direction from where he had come on a Raft Of Serpents. After his departure the blood-splattering rituals were reintroduced with vengeance.

The concept was inspired by Graham Hancock’s book ‘Fingerprints Of The Gods.’ The myth epitomises modern man’s intent to destroy our planet and sacrifice all living creatures despite the fact that we ourselves will not survive the aftermath, and deservedly so.

KhetzaL music is deeply influenced by his musical studies, violin and rudiments of music, that gave him the skills for adding melodic phrases and arpeggios in every track he produces. During the nineties, he discovered electronic music and then ambient and goa trance. He was strongly attracted and inspired by those music styles and began to explore them by himself since 1998.
KhetzaL has released ambient and trance tracks on Agitato Recs, Ultimae Recs, Suntrip Recs and more... His first album Corolle was released by Suntrip Recs in october 2005. The second album Etamines was released by Suntrip Recs in march 2021. ⟢

L'inspiration à l'origine de chaque morceau est très variable.
Ça peut être une mélodie qui me trotte dans la tête, parfois même en me réveillant en pleine nuit.
Je passe du temps à rechercher des sons avec mes synthétiseurs et parfois l'idée apparaît d'un seul coup. Ça peut aussi être son ou une musique quelconque que j'aurais entendu dans la journée. Parfois je m'impose un thème particulier, par exemple le choix d'un élément de la nature, ou une gamme musicale particulière. Il n’y a pas vraiment de règle.
Le reste de l'écriture se fait au feeling et à l'instinct. Chacun de mes morceaux raconte une histoire qui s'est écrite selon mon inspiration du moment et sur plusieurs sessions. Je n'ai jamais composé un morceau en une seule journée.

𝑸𝒖𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 ?

Mes études de musique classique ont d’abord eu une énorme influence. Au fil du temps, j'ai écouté beaucoup de styles musicaux, New Age, Rock, Hard-Rock et même du Trash, puis vint la grande période de l'Electro/Electro-Rock. 
J’ai beaucoup écouté de Goa et d'Ambient de 1996 à 2000 environ, les deux groupes qui m'ont le plus inspiré à l'époque étaient Jaïa et Total Eclipse.
Et plus récemment, je m’inspire de B.O. de films, d’animés japonais et de jeux vidéo.

𝑸𝒖’𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒔-𝒕𝒖 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 ?

Mon matériel pour le live a progressivement évolué avec le temps. Au début, j'utilisais pas mal de machines, dont quelques claviers vintages assez lourds avec une grosse table de mixage 16 pistes !
Aujourd'hui, j'utilise toujours un séquenceur sur PC qui fait tourner une vingtaine de plugins VST (instruments virtuels) en temps réel. J'ai un contrôleur midi qui me permet de faire évoluer les sons lead en live. 
Je conserve un petit clavier hardware que je contrôle également en direct, je trouve ça essentiel de garder cet aspect « live machines ». Je tiens à conserver l'interaction entre ce que vivent les danseurs et ce que je ressens au moment où je tourne les boutons qui contrôlent les sons.
En résumé, j’utilise un PC portable, une interface audio USB, un clavier hardware (c'est un Nord Modular pour ceux qui connaissent) dont j'ai créé tous les sons, un contrôleur midi avec 16 faders et beaucoup de câbles !

Mon troisième album est terminé depuis début 2024 mais après certaines difficultés indépendantes de ma volonté, il devrait sortir en 2025.
Je continuerai à poster de nouvelles démos sur SoundCloud, car je souhaite montrer aux auditeurs de Trance Goa que je suis encore actif et pas seulement une légende qui a sorti un album marquant en 2005.
J’ai déjà des idées pour un 4ème album ! Je souhaite revenir à quelque chose de plus old-school en utilisant plus de vieux synthétiseurs et davantage de psychédélisme, comme un retour aux sources. J’espère refaire des live-acts très prochainement ツ

The Fall of Atlantis @ Cross 2016 (forest - darkpsy)

My set from Fireworld (Western Australia), that I played 
after @Kitsune ´s forest set and before @Selik ´s techno set.

background story:
This is just home record, as there was hard cracking 
in the live record. These 60 minutes of the set are identical, but the last 10 
mins were different as my flight and set were delayed and the 
sun was already coming up, so I decided I will not go into more psycore stuff and slowed down for the last 30 minutes :-)
It was truly amazing and strong experience, as I came to Australia first 
time in my life - at 2 AM, left the airport after 3 AM, the 
driver took me for a long drive to this bushdoof festival and 
I literally arrived to the stage 10 mins before my set at 5 AM :-) 
I heard the end of Kitsune's set- my new friend where I am 
staying at at the moment. While I was playing, the sunrise 
came and I saw the Australia for the first time. Dancing 
people in the bush. Truly magical moment! After that Selik 
played quality techno set - thanks bro for telling me about this festival and everyone for a warm welcome :-)
I knew what is the name of this set gonna be in advance, but was suprised when while flying through Malaysia, the whole place was covered with smoke as Indonesia is on fire (and other continents!). 
Bush fires in Australia are normal to some degree, but its also getting out of control and I saw a lot of burned bush. We are facing the Tipping point. 
Its strange to use this ugly dirty technology (airplane), to get somewhere, where at the same time, I feel I am exactly in the right place and time, having crazy synchronicities since my arrival and full support from the universe.. 
I will stay here for 8 months, work in the healthcare, study ethnobotanics, play music, perform and teach juggling, learn maximum from the experience and take it back to my home community.

Triptofun was drawn into the world of electronic music in 2004 by listening to a DnB/jungle CD of one czech soundsystem and by his first freetekno party in 2005. Soon he discovered psytrance and since then he has been involved in both techno and psytrance subcultures. The fascination and inspiration of altered states of consciousness, music and dance continues to this day in both his musical and professional life.
He moved from making hardware freetekno to DJing and in 2011 joined the south bohemian psytrance group Kamasutra. His night sets on the mainfloor are mostly techno/ darkprog/ dark psytrance. However, as a multi-genre DJ, he obsessively selects tracks for his sets on a daily basis in genres such as deep dubstep/ bass, deep house, DnB, hip-hop/ trip-hop, garage, wave, ambient, etc., so that he can play at any time of the day according to the concept of the event. 
He has played in NZ, Australia, Latin America, England and several countries in Europe.
He has organized countless musical events both with Kamasutra and solo (Sohma records) or with other groups.
