Tripwire HippHopp is my work made between the years 2000 and 2009 in the UK and Tokyo. I made all the tracks on here and rapped on about 10 of them. 

I was influenced by a lot of Mowax and Ninja Tunes artists, especially DJ Shadow, Attica Blues, DJ Cam, Mr. Scruff, DJ Krush, Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead, etc. and a lot of UK hip hop like Skinny Man, Roots Manuva, Skitz, Rodney P, etc. And of course a lot of US hip hop but too many names to mention there. 

I made al of these tracks on an Akai MPC200XL and sometimes used Ableton Live and a Roland Fantom XL. I've sold this equipment as I make DnB these days under the name Xenflex and only use soft synths and Ableton.

My audio engineering skills have come a long long way since I made these hip hop beats, and I have learned tons in the last year about eqing, mixdowns, mastering etc.
