For the 16th episode of our residency on Charivari Detroit Radio, we re-introduce Triqi, a DJ currently based in Berlin who also has strong connection with the Dutch club scene. Triqi’s style is diverse with some focus on electro, break and techno-beats. For this mix she selected tracks by female producers that she loves. In her words, love is always the message! 🌺

Iqra aka Triqi (she/her) is a Berlin based DJ and aspiring producer with Kashmiri roots. She was a member of the student-run radio collective AUCWebradio in Amsterdam for 3 years, where she started DJing for student events and parties in Amsterdam. She's also a member of @paradiscoberlin which she founded together with her brother @imadfromberlin and friend @djahoy   📻

Her musical tastes range across the electronic spectrum, including various flavours of house, disco, acid and electro ✨

Ukrainian traditional parties with music, songs, jokes and rituals. Vechornytsi began in the late September after the seasonal agricultural works were over. Young people from Ukrainian villages gathered in the evenings and had parties. There were everyday and festive Vechornytsi.

Triqi is a Berlin raised and based DJ that first started her journey DJing while studying in Amsterdam. Now back in her hometown she has started a collective and mix series project Paradisco, joined the FLINTA* collective BLVSH and is a member of the local THF radio crew. For this mix, she's traversed from a slow and chunky 90s dub towards progressive house, bouncy latin-infused rhythms with a sprinkle of electro and old school breakbeat.
