I sang “Gravity” as a tribute, with acoustic rhythm guitar and keyboard backing, weaving in harmonies on the choruses. The acoustic guitar provided the pulse while the keyboard added depth, and I made sure the organ tones came through subtly to echo John Mayer’s style.

When I hit the line “Gravity is working against me”, I felt its tension; in the choruses, the harmonies lifted the emotional weight. Playing “Just keep me where the light is”—that part felt like a plea, and I leaned into simplicity so the words and melody could breathe. It was humbling to bring my own voice to a song that means so much.
