We Are Water

“Melt” is a collection that captures the sonic qualities and subject matter that represents the collective voice of the members of Dizgo. We wanted to make an album that allowed each member to showcase their writing and spotlight the diversity and strengths of each individual’s style that we bring together to create our sound.  We drew inspiration from real experiences that took place on the road and in our personal lives to create the lyrical content. We made the title track of the album “Melt” because we feel the song represents the theme sound of what musical style we are currently embracing. The album was recorded and produced by the band in our rehearsal space over a two month period. Mixing and mastering was done in the following months by our good friend Austin Litz of the band Litz.

Livin' It Up

Embark on a journey with "Sing Like the Birds," a beautiful collaboration crafted by the soulful convergence of @samgarrettmusic , @mollie-mendoza , @iyakuh, and @mosemusica . This upcoming release draws inspiration from the divine energy of the goddess Lakshmi, a presence associated with abundance, clarity, and the flourishing prosperity of a heart brimming with loving awareness.

"Sing Like the Birds" is an adaptation of the song Lakshmi previously released by Sam and Mollie. It's a transformative anthem, a powerful invocation to courageously step into a realm of freedom and joy. With lyrics that give permission to shed fear and shame, it beckons you to cast away the veils of hiding and make the choice to say yes to life, to love, and to the possibility of living with your heart wide open. Inspired by Lakshmi's symbolism of the lotus flower, which gracefully blooms atop the water while anchored in the depths, the song mirrors the journey of self-discovery—rooted in the depths of our being while blossoming into a radiant expression of the heart.

As Sam Garrett, Mollie Mendoza, Iyakuh, and Mose join forces, their collective artistry resonates in a symphony that transcends individual expression, creating a sonic tapestry that mirrors the universal call to awaken the heart. "Sing Like the Birds" is an invitation to break free, to step into a realm where fear and shame dissipate, and the heart joyously opens to life's infinite possibilities. It's not just a song; it's a liberating anthem, a celebration of the courage to live authentically and love expansively, much like the blossoming lotus guided by the timeless wisdom of Lakshmi.
