The Best of Impact Mechanics Vol 2: When Impact Mechanics started in 2007, Chicago was in need of something new to pave the pathway of Chicago's techno sound and scene. Chicago wanted something fresh and energetic. The label has since become one of the most reputable underground techno labels out of Chicago. IM can be heard across the world and has become a favorite by many. It is evident that there was a following for techno in Chicago and the states. Fast-forwarding now into the future, the label Impact Mechanics still stands strong. With that being said. We have put together a compilation of some of our favorites on the label. As you can see, there is nothing short of quality. Enjoy!

Trish Van Eynde - Goon (Linear Straight Rmx) Teaser

The Berlin based DJ and producer with a trajectory of more than a decade, has established herself in the underground Berliner scene in the last years, being a regular artist at the emblematic club Tresor, and hosting as well the very well known “New Faces” parties.
 
The depth of her sets immerses us in a space trip dominated by hypnotic and heavy electronic environments in the same harmonic code, intelligible techno ruled by a musical selection capability only available for accurately and experienced ears. Her execution in the Dj booth is almost millimeter, enhancing the technical qualities of the set and the auditory introspection with the public.
 
As far as production is concerned,Dinamite made her first important debut in 2015 releasing a great EP on Planet Rhythm “Doxa” which had an amazing support. In the same year she released her first ep “ Qualia” in Affin records followed by a collaboration on the same label in the compilation “Signs” with the very acclaimed track “Nebel”. Is at the end of 2016 when She debuts in the very respected and multidisciplinary label Detroit Underground with “Excelsior” ep where she shows a very personal vision of Techno and electronic music. 
 
Dinamite has also released in Illegal Alien Records, Stratosphera Records, Northallsen Records, AYCB and more things to come for the close future.

Louis Haiman’s music is a balance of gentle synth arrangements swimming atop a sea of low-end frequencies. Ambient soundscapes drift among layer after layer of meandering melodies while deep, syncopated rhythms and bass keep listeners grounded.A study in contrasts, his compositions are both tranquil and urgent brought on by some of his earliest influences: Art of Noise, Propaganda, Pet Shop Boys, Jean Luc Ponty, Depeche Mode, classic rock and of course, early Chicago House and Detroit Techno.Many years of traditional music study led him to Boston's Berklee College of Music in 1987 where he began his first electronic music experiments. Though, it wasn't  until many years later in 1998, while living in New York City, did an ominous note find it's way to him from none other than Derrick May and Transmat records inviting him to collaborate."I was never one to solicit my music to labels, preferring to perfect my sound. Music  was a very personal endeavor for me at the time and I was happy to keep it to myself."From his original work on Transmat, Louis has been able to evolve his sound and circle of friends worldwide to include releases on Fountain Music (Japan) AW Recordings (Germany), Abstract Forms (UK) Icon of Desire (Italy) Indigo Aera (Netherlands) and his own digital imprint Fwdthought Music (US) Indigo Aera 006= 'Soul Purpose' is mined from an archive of 15 to 20 years worth of creativity, "I am honored that people are discovering and being moved by this music in 2012".
