Inspiration came about for this EP while James & I were only planning on making one track together as a collab for the fun of it (the first track we worked on was “What Is A Friend?”) & after finishing up that one we realized that we work on music really well together & decided to create a 4 track EP full of gröövy, deeper sounding cuts that will make people get loose on the dance floor. We also thought it would be cool to split it up into two tracks that we worked on together (“What Is A Friend?” & “Good Livin’”) to showcase our musical style through collaboration & then throwing in two of our own tracks that we worked on individually (“Dreaming Of Better Days” & “Plant Talk”) to showcase our own musical styles within our own work. The overall vibe of this EP is nothing but a gröövy sensation and for the love of house music, the emotion that house music makes us feel & what we want to share with the world as they listen to these tracks.

2529KM Records is a new dub techno label created by two friends and artists – Piotr Bejnar aka N1KT (Warsaw, PL) and Leon Lolishvili aka Boyd Schidt (Tbilisi, GE).

2529 KM stands for the distance between Warsaw and Tbilisi. The idea of the label to release compilations with artists from different countries and nationalities. Through music the label wants to unite different cultures and to create a group of friends all over the world, who support themselves in music and life.

The first release 2529KM 001 is the compilation from Idealist (Switzerland) - producer, DJ and label owner of Idealistmusic, Stojche (Macedonia) - Berlin-based artist who’s primarily inspired of the local electronic scene in Skopje, Boyd Schidt (Georgia) - one of the leading techno artists in Georgia, founder of 2529KM and N1KT (Poland) – new techno alias from the owner of 2529 KM and Otake Records.

Brooklyn based Sentient State debuts on P. Leone's E-Missions, while fine Irish talent Cromby comes correct with a standout remix.
As Sentient State, Aaron Seth Vaslow is an avant-garde artist who seamlessly fuses acid, electro, techno and breakbeat into slick and futuristic soundscapes that work both mind and body. He also already released on Source Material and, along with remixer Cromby, appeared on the latest Nerang Recordings VA, which landed late July.
This is an absorbing EP right from the off. 'Welcome To The Sentient State' is icy cold, with a metallic mix of drums and hits powering you along while majestic and frosted keys ring out into the vast open spaces above. Soothing and emotive yet also hugely dynamic, it's a tasteful electro track of the highest order.
'Fear Is The Mind Killer' is just as kinetic, with a mix of rugged drum programming and warm bass, heavenly pads and urgent snares all making for a new sound that is part techno, part electro. 'A System of Cells' is a crisp, high speed electro track with snapping hits and far-sighted chords racing through the cosmos.
Last of all, remixer Cromby held a six year residency at the legendary Shine in Belfast, has released on Sulta Selects Silver Service, Feel My Bicep and Unknown To The Unknown and is a DJ who tours the world. His version of 'Fear Is The Mind Killer' a dreamy ambient track that eventually takes off on dark and tightly woven drums and bass. It's eerie yet beautiful and hugely powerful space techno.
