The first track ‘Razor' was born while playing with her MKS-80 from Roland, an old synth from 1985 and one of ANNA’s favourite. You can hear the fat and juicy sound on the breakdown and ever evolving throughout. The track has already been getting a great reaction when played out in her sets.

'Hailing from Brooklyn, New York DESNA represents the next generation of modern techno, making her mark in the music industry. The New York native is set to release her first EP of 2020 titled 'Jugar' featuring a collaboration with Bulgarian artist Metodi Hristov on the 'Call If Found' record. The EP has elements of ominous energy yet, permeates mystical elements of euphoric techno with its haunting baselines and moments of 'shut your eyes and just dance.' 

DESNA is one artist to watch in 2020, as she continues to push her own boundaries in the studio, while crafting her art and collaborating with various notable artists in the game. You can also catch DESNA across the USA and worldwide - keep an eye out for 2020 dates! 

DESNA - 'Jugar' [Original Mix] - 'Jugar' is a Spanish word, which translates into 'Play' - A tantalizing original, DESNA takes listeners on a journey with a  hypnotizing intro, which transforms into vibe at about 3:05, taking dancers under her spell. 

Metodi Hristov, DESNA - 'Call If Found' [Original Mix] - DESNA and Bulgarian artist Metodi Hristov hook listeners in with this high-energy record which is a dance floor anthem. At the 3:09 break - watch out for what's next. These two have it right. Get ready to be lifted into ecstatic dance.  

DESNA - 'Rabbet' [Original Mix] - Soaring into quite the baseline, DESNA shows us how deep she can get with her productions. Quirky soundscapes, anticipating high-hats and a heavy drop make for the perfect recipe of this record, giving us just a taste of what DESNA is all about.

✦ The Low Down ✦

This week's premiere accentuates a sonic uprising on Digital Structures. Miles From Mars is a collaboration of two distinguished South African figureheads - Maximilian and Deadbeat FM. Their debut release 'Red Eye Jedi' marks their unique, modern day approach to hybrid psychedelic techno. 

The spotlight is on 'Riots In My Head', an earth-shaking composition embodied by the dark expanse of outer space and on-earth rebellion. It snarls through it's thick (as fuck) staccato baseline, enrapturing eeriness and primal moods that is effortlessly crafted together by the duo. No doubt we'll be hearing this psychedelic bomb penetrating our grimy dance-floors once we are allowed to play again.
