This album plays tribute to the legacy of Film Noir featuring remixes of classic themes such as Gilda, Sunset Boulevard through to contemporary Neo-Noir like Sin City and Blood Simple. All credit and rights go to the original composers of these fabulous themes and can be removed on request. In 1968 Walter Carlos released the fabulous Switched on Bach series which re-invigorated familiar classical repertoire designed for acoustic instruments in an contemporary electronic idiom. This album treats acoustic film soundtracks electronically in a similar fashion, the dark and tense Hardboiled scores are subject to sinister and atmospheric treatments in Logic Pro X.
