A remix I did back in 2001 (one of my very first when I was around 16/17 yrs old).
Long considered lost to time, a friend recently found it on an old hard drive, just in time for a 20th Anniversary Revival.
I remember I made it in ACID PRO 2 by cutting the bits out of the club mix, chopping them up & using the same acapella Funkstar Deluxe had used. A few drum loops later and it all came together quite well all things considered!

After hearing the Sugababes cover I made a little disco house filter thing and played it out a few times in my early sets around 03-04.
I remember I'd play it with the Grant Nelson remix of Sister Sledge's Thinking About You and the girls would be on the floor and not leaving 😉

Definitely one of my earlier productions from when I was about 19. Made in Acid Pro 4 & Logic Platinum v5.

#TBT I WILL B A FREAK [2003]

I remember hearing the original and instantly thinking the riff would be perfect on the dancefloor. There was ALOT of heavy rock-type club records and remixes around in the early 2000's - Lenny Kravitz/Seven Nation Army/Soulwax etc so I pinched the drums from LK - Runnin' [Azuli Records] and got to work.
I remember it came together very quickly and was done in basically one session. Made with Acid Pro 4 & Logic Platinum 5.
Can't remember exactly when, but I think early 2005 just after I turned 21.

There was an official remix from Redanka, who I was into at the time, and I guess it's similar due to the riff, I just made mine a bit more straight ahead whereas his is a bit more proggy.
He also had the parts, I didn't 😂
