For the title track of her album “Fast Fashion” (Deathbomb Arc, 2021), Lolina cut up videos of Nicolas Ghesquière’s Balenciaga Fall 2007 and Spring 2010 runway shows to create a new audio composition. She continues this experiment in DJ sets and mixes: “Fashion Moment 1999”, a collage of Tom Ford’s Gucci Spring and Fall 1999 runway soundtracks (mix for NTS 10 Curated by Arca, 2021); “Spring Summer Fall Winter” mixing soundtracks to Christophe Decarnin’s Balmain 2008 and 2009 fashion shows (DJ set at Avalon Cafe, London, 2022); and “Nothing In This World Is Free”, a mix for C minus using music to Alber Elbaz’s 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011 collections for Lanvin (recorded live at Soup, Manchester, 2023).

Once again here on 3000 Bass, we have an absolute show stopper of a project to explore with you all, as we welcome back Rhiannon Roze to oversee a tasty 8 track remix collection, inviting some of the brightest producers in the land to rework the super weighty ‘My Friend’.

We open with the bubbling bass tones of Duckworthsounds’ meaty overhaul, followed by both the emotive undertones of стил, and the mind-melting neuro over-vamps of MÆDM’s version in hot pursuit. Next up, Fantom Freq delivers a classic bass house rework, with the techy synth shifts of Eric Mark and low-ended bass drones of PHANTASM to follow.

We then close off the project with a final pair of peaches, with the high intensity bass bounces and spacious percussion of Little Tools giving the final rework a vibrant feel, before closing project out with the now-classic themes Rhiannon’s original, closing out this epic selection in style. There is certainly something for everyone in the remix package.

Triste Chopper is a trio of producer from Atlanta, GA consisting of Dark Dred, Drill Cosby, and Yung Deaux. Dark Dred brings a very mysterious empty yet masked sound to the Atlanta EDM music scene while Drill Cosby brings a based gutter trap sound to the industry. Yung Deaux compliments the two with a futuristic juug sound that innovates the mind to wonder. With all three of these very talented producers in one mix creates a dangerous combination that will destroy the EDM trap game all together.
