Tabla Trance

Formation of this band took place to fulfill the deficit of original, experimental music in the local scene. The band was formed in 2006 with its three founding members Rishabh, Himanshu and Shivam bringing in with them their own taste, flavor & style of music. Himanshu being hardcore metal lead, Rishabh with his classical background and Shivam with his “demental” funk music (pun intended). Later on joined by Akash and Gaurav, the band became more versatile and with such diverse musical inspirations & playing style these men drew courage to break guidelines, to work beyond the predefined genres of music.

The band at present is working out on sound that defines ‘Indian gospel’ mood. The lyrical content is such kept that it keeps up to the mortal connection with the supreme, and to keep this music appealing and ‘happy’ funk sound is used. Thus the band has come up with this new style of music “Bhakti Funk”. 
Apart from that we also are into Progressive Vedic Metal.

After spreading the music and earning appreciation of our home-town Lucknow, the band has moved to Mumbai to record our first studio album, under Trishank Entertainments, directed five prominent singers from Bollywood : Shaan, Kunal Ganjawala, Suraj Jagan, Sherya Ghoshal and Krishna Beura for the movie. There are seven songs in the album of which two songs are sung by Rishabh himself.

The band started off their journey performing at various gigs catering to collegiate and city audience. Rishabh won the “IDEA ROCKS INDIA 2008” north zone and performed and shared stage with Sunidhi Chauhan. Shivam won solo instrumental competition organized by Onstage in 2009. The band secured third position at “Junoon Indie Rock” competition at IIT-K 2010. The band did an opening act for Parikrama and Prestorika and shared stage with Crimson.

The band has also conducted music workshops at ISB&M Pune and is looking forward to do so at Corporate houses and Ngo's.

Meet TRITHA - One of the most bewitching singers you are likely to encounter. Her spell-bounding beautiful voice has connected with numerous music lovers from all over the world. Brought up in the culturally intense city of Kolkata, now living in New Delhi and touring Europe festivals in summers, Tritha is one of the most promising musicians in her country, equally at home with her Indian Classical music as with Bjork and Janis Joplin, Abida Parveen and Aretha Franklin.
Trained in indian classical music for the last 18 years, she has been performing professionally since the last 10 years all over India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Europe. 
She is also the founder of the women-centric ethno-electronic outfit called SPACE in India in Delhi.
Tritha loves collaborating with musicians from different genres and backgrounds and is known for her very intense and compelling live performances.

Meet CONTRA-FREQUENCY, a.k.a. Nitesh Batra - an Electronic Music Producer / DJ from Kolkata (India).
His exploration with Sound started at an early age of 17 as a DJ, a career which exposed him to the Indian club circuit.
He has played at a numerous clubs and outdoor festivals across the country. His connection with the music got stronger with each set and performance which eventually led to his unique take on the genre and the creation of 
Contra Frequency. His production vibrates with sounds influenced from Progressive, Psybreaks ,GoaTrance & ambient / downtempo moods to create a kaleidoscopic journey that's both melodic and kinetic. Influenced by artist's like Astral Projection, Chronos, Shpongle, Aes Dana, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Abida Parveen.
His undying love for trance, indian classical and Sufi music has led him to collaborate on this indian electronic fusion project.


It all started with the song " ETERNAL" which became a huge rage among musicians and music lovers. 
Now this talented duo have a live set which comprises of live Indian raga based vocals and complex arrangements/modulations/synthesis creating musical soundscapes.
 
A journey of pure bliss transcending listeners to a state of trance!

About Tritha 


Performed at the Cannes film festival 2019 in France, Tritha is a Vocalist, Composer and a Music Producer based out of India and France. Trained in North Indian classical music and Dhrupad for over 25 years, she blends this rich form with her contemporary expression and songwriting. Tritha has 10 albums to her credit, from her Solo Avatar & film scores to her different outfits over the last decade such as Tritha Electric - her Indo-French psychedelic raaga- rock band, SPACE - Indian women collective aimed at gender equality (stands for Stop Patriarchy And Choose Equality) and her sound healing music project, Tritha & Martin along with several other EPs & Singles released with various international electronic producers. 


Travelled and represented India in over 18 countries and performed more than 300 concerts, Tritha has also been featured on BBC, Arte and Canal+ as a music activist and voice healer. She represented as an Indian ambassador and socially engaged musician in the global music residency program OneBeat in America in 2016 and got accredited from the U.S. State Department for her music activism and cultural diplomacy through musical engagements and community development. Tritha had also been a speaker at the TEDx Delhi, where she got a standing ovation for her speech and songs about the New Indian Woman’s Voice and relevance on the global front. She has also worked with global personalities like dancer & social activist Mallika Sarabhai, renowned percussionist Sivamani, director Padmashri Muzaffar Ali and Eve Ensler, author of Vagina Monologues.
