When I was 20, I wrote that mathematics was "the structure of intelligence." I couldn't quite figure out what that meant - it seemed to be inspired by a mathematics professor I encountered at UC Santa Cruz (this same professor, it turned out, spent a year sailing the darkened sea using extremely pure DMT as a sextant). I found evidence: my first software engineering job was with an R&D group that was building essentially the first TCP/IP router, most of the people that could navigate that environment had math degrees. It was only recently that I discovered Platonic Realism, the ancient view that abstract mathematical objects exist, and exist independently of intelligence.. Which is what I think I meant..

I once came across a Hadith (Islamic Saying) that said on the Last Day a Prophet (perhaps Enoch or Elijah for it is said they did not die) would cry out O Man! And all that had died would be raised.. I was very struck by that one image, that one idea. The Carnyx is likewise a striking metaphor, that of an ancient war horn blown on the battlefield, whose mystic sound amplified the fear and chaos of war. These two figures were used to construct a prophetic narrative set to a Kohndo remix of Jungle Boogie. This message, then, is what's really up in these Latter Days of the Latter Rain..

This idea exploded exponentially into allusions, metaphors, and pop-culture references that were blended in a crucible with elements of magick, physics, and the kaleidoscopic end-time events we now see on the news every night..
