This is another track made in Kazakhstan. If you look north of Almaty you see the dusty and hot steppe where sparse life occurs. If you look south you see the 3000 meter high mountains covered in snow. 
Medeo is actually a speed skating rink in the mountain range next to Almaty, but also represents the area around as well. For me it's a symbol of the contradictions between soviet and kazakh culture - between all different ethnic groups that live there and used to live there. Big concrete monumental buildings vs. ancient nomad tents.

Bobby Hustle Biography:
Bobby Hustle is what cultures colliding sounds like. Born in Seattle, Washington
and raised on a diversity of music ranging from Irish folk to Motown and Otis
Redding to Mozart, the Hustle fell in love with reggae as a twelve year old and the
affair has never ended. As a result, his sound is rooted in modern reggae, but
effortlessly blends in pop, rock and even hip hop sensibilities. Bobby has recorded
and released songs with Sizzla (JA), Exco Levi (CA), Gappy Ranks (UK), Cali P
(CH), The Movement (USA) and more. He has toured in the United States,
Canada, Japan, Italy, Germany, Poland, Russia, Costa Rica and Israel. In 2016,
while on tour in Costa Rica, Bobby was arrested, falsely accused and charged
with drug trafficking. He spent the next 22 months fighting for his freedom. In
December 2017, he was found not guilty in trial and allowed to fly home to his
family in Seattle. After his return, he relocated to Los Angeles where he continues
to record and release new music.

Zoe Reijue is a musician and DJ from Moscow, Russia. Formerly a composer with an acoustic piano direction, she produces electronic music since 2020. On this track, she also sang her own vocals and we were absolutely in love with it when she send it to us.

We thought that it's a great track to build an EP around, that takes the track in different directions. The remixes come from our good friend and long time Love Foundation Supporter Thommie G from Amsterdam, Jiony from Mexico, Daniel Verhagen from Australia, and Klangdruide from Switzerland. All interpreting Zoe's track in their own way.

As always 50% of the profit from this release is donated to our social partner Love-foundation and the other 50% are divided equally between Hug Records and the artists.
