As you roam the corridors of the unexplained, clarity aims to peek through and prevail. What you once turned a blind eye to will no longer be ignored.

WAYU Records presents 'The Sight' by Depart, a daunting but necessary venture into seeing what truly is, accompanied by an introspective Raw Main remix. 

'The Sight' creeps in with a hypnotizing drum that is quick with its bewitchment. The magnetic pull seduces you into a world of unusual musings. A haunting piano chord strikes loud enough to wake the spirits among you. From a long sleep, they emerge, eager to waltz you into their dance of rousing riddles and revelations. Highlighting the 15th signing of Words Not Enough, young producer Peve teams up with label founders Awka and Edu Schwartz to bring to life yet another beautiful Organic House EP, La Habana. His creations are already known for praising organic, melodic and progressive elements within the genre, gaining space on labels around the world such as Stellar Fountain, Akbal, Zenebona and Hoomidaas.

This collab gave life to a three-track EP that involves a wide range of elements. High Flying, the album's opening track, has a mysterious atmosphere that conveys a certain wild excitement, embraced by Middle Eastern sounds, leaving listeners curious to know what keeps them there.

La Habana is wrapped in an elegant melody, with discreet rattles that highlight it from start to finish. The dreamy and relaxing tone is emphasized with the progressiveness of the sound surrounded by similar sounds of a Kalimba. The remix of the homonymous track, by the hands of Edu Schwartz, gains even more mesmerizing synths, while the producer bets on a strong and agitated version, without losing the charm of the original version.

'MINDGAME Records kicks on with another forward thinking package that features a Ramyen original and a remix from George X.

Best Therapy is a stylish and atmospheric deep house cut with exotic melodies. Steamy female vocals pan about the mix to bring an intoxicating feel next to mellifluous melodies and rolling drums. It's utterly enchanting and classy. Best Therapy (George X Remix) is then more propulsive thanks to the soft shakers and roilling beats, but watery sound effects and wispy pads keep it deep.

Premiere: Ramyen - Best Therapy (George X Remix) [Mindgame]

A seasoned performer and talented producer, Michael Ritter finds himself at the forefront of modern underground dance from his Berlin home. Much in-demand with DJ appearances across Europe, in Amsterdam, Ibiza, Hamburg and his Berlin hometown, a production career in tandem has seen Michael feature on the likes of Obenmusik, YOMO Records and Aesthetika. Meanwhile, his Grey Bar Hotel imprint also serves as a vehicle for his own production and remix material.

Reworking “To Follow”, the Michael Ritter remix provides a deeper, up-tempo vibe that takes the central themes of the original and extends them into a stunning new interpretation. Making elegant use of Ghenwa Nemnom’s Qanun playing, Michael creates a sub-bassline and ticking percussive groove framework that adds depth and dancefloor credentials to the organic instrumentation. Glorious piano chord progressions add a melancholic air that ripples through the 8-minute piece exuding class and craftsmanship. 

A new label to enter the underground house milieu, Pillbox is a label based in Berlin and Mexico City.

HMWL Premiere: Chris Zippel, Ghenwa Nemnon - To Follow (Michael Ritter Remix)

Armenian artist DAVI delivers his third EP on Damian Lazarus' label Crosstown Rebels. Following Two Suns In the Sky and Gates Of Babylon, DAVI's latest EP displays a more driving sound than his previous releases, leaning into big basslines and pacey percussion.

DAVI shares an insight into the long-running process behind the EP. "Over the past 7-10 years, I have accumulated many ideas in my hard drive that I always wanted to make into songs," he says. "'Nosferatu' was first made in 2014, but I never finished it. This year I went back to my old projects and brought them back to life with a newer touch. Since I am known for a specific sound and style through my productions, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone for a little and make bigger tracks for bigger dancefloors. I believe this is what I was aiming for in this EP." The title track kicks off with head-nodding drums and sporadic, quick-fire claps while a gnarly synthline winds through the soundscape. A heavily pitched-down vocal adds a psychedelic feel, building tension that's apt for a teeming dancefloor. On the flip, Mirage feels like a dip in the Balearic sea — warm, rippling and radiant. A thumping kickdrum shapes the mood, meandering between a low-strung bassline and distorted vocals. A potent blend of dark and bright textures.

Armenian-born DJ, producer and musician DAVI has followed an upward trajectory over the last decade, releasing on celebrated labels like All Day I Dream, RADIANT and many more. Musically gifted from a young age and influenced by rock icons Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, DAVI landed a place at Komitas State Conservatory's music department in Yerevan, Armenia, where he finessed his skills as a producer. Having moved to Los Angeles in 2006, where he currently resides, he immersed himself in the city's electronic scene and soon released his own melodic house, techno and electronica. The likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and John Digweed played DAVI's work, amplifying his profile to a new level. DAVI's DJ sets reflect his dynamic and open-minded approach as an artist, with bookings across the USA, Canada and, of course, Tulum in Mexico, where his sound sits right at home.
