This release has a long history. I’ve heard “Into the night” in the series Twin Peaks for the first time. It was the early nineties. Since I fell in love with the music of Angelo Badalamenti and with everything that the great David Lynch does. I had the idea to remix this track a long time ago. However, it was possible to record a cover version only in 2017, together with the singer Tatyana Shchelokova and my friend and teacher Max Sozonov (RIP).

Last year I had an idea to make a new sound for this cover and release it on my label downtempo, baby! My friends Reyneke (DE), Alex Doering (ES) and SEVN(CA) joined me. Thanks guys, this wouldn't have happened without you! 
On June 9 of this year died Julee Cruz. She was the singer, who first performed & Into the night in 1990 for Twin Peaks.

We dedicate this release to her. RIP Julle!

New month, new music. Our friends Philipp, Andreas and Andreas, aka Überhaupt & Außerdem and Deep Ändi, worked together on some lovely beats, which they don’t want to withhold from you.

The EP “Directions” is a collaboration between them. Everyone made a track, which ended up being remixed by the other. The concept sounded exciting from the start, and we are happy that the tracks found their way to Vienna. We'll take that as an opportunity to pop the corks in Berlin. That's right Champagne Society. If you don't want to miss this, you should rather be there.

As always, a big thanks to our two silent helpers, Kilian Van de Water for the artwork and Haunted Water for the great mastering.

Seebo - Defeater (Flave Remix) - [KRUG004]

After he was already represented on our last compilation and is also involved in some current remix projects with us, we are particularly pleased to be able to present the new EP by @sydkasd on our label today, which has the catchy title "Snakes and Ladders".

The saying Snakes and Ladders refers to situations in which people or events appear to go forward and backward, seemingly at random. Everyone can relate to this feeling and knows that life can sometimes feel like an endless loop of recurring experiences. It is all the more important to switch off your head from time to time and simply go with the flow of the moment.

Sydka's EP provides the perfect soundtrack for this vibe. The two originals, which come with his unmistakably groovy and detailed sound, are rounded off by three diverse remixes by @glenn_shaw, @flave-uc and @kon-faber, which all give the original a unique twist.

We are very happy that the EP has finally seen the light of day and want to thank all the artists involved for their great work, as well as Haunted Water for the smooth mastering and Kilian Van de Water for the harmonious artwork.

The human blink is controlled by the subconscious. The reflexive closing movement of the eyelids clean and protect the eyes. When we blink, the visual centre in the brain is regulated. Therefore, we do not consciously perceive this whole process and the briefly reduced incidence of light. On average, this procedure is conducted 10-15 times per minute. In moments of great excitement, joy or concentration, we can blink significantly less often. Due to the excessive focus, the blinking becomes a consciously controlled process for a certain amount time. The first Joe Carl EP on KataHaifisch contains two tracks. Both are well suited for a club setting. Strong basses create a dancing mood and hypnotic leads a dreamy atmosphere. In both songs you can hear the unique style of Joe Carl.
