If there is one person you can trust with leading you into a miraculous realm of care and good music, it is the Heinz Music label boss himself, Prof. Dr. master of soul-vibrations Marcus Meinhardt. He has steered the label-ship steadily during this difficult time. Again and again he has given us releases with beautiful melodies and worry-healing grooves. And now he is back with a big two-tracker himself, “Mars Attack EP”.

The title track ignites the starting engine with a smooth and catchy groove, while a playful synth is luring behind the tree. It swiftly surrounds you, asking for your trust as it takes you on a little journey towards heavy basslines, quirky synths and an uplifting and dreamy atmosphere. The melody resonates with a newfound positivity and joy over us all being able to meet on dance floors again. 

Secondly, we are lead into the world of “Venus Vibes” and you immediately feel weightless. As if you are floating on a cloud, with the stars just at the tip of your hand. Dark synth plucks meet a vivid melody carrying a space-like background of organic percussions and wicked up-winding noise. It is heavy yet encouraging, and the perfect companion to “Mars Attack”. We are happy to be back with you, and we are happy to be back with an EP by our very own Prof. Dr. Marcus Meinhardt, who is ready to steer the dance floor into an indestructible community of togetherness.

What happens when two big, creative minds decide to join forces? The result can only be magnificent! So fasten your seatbelts, because this ride is about to go wild. The immensely talented artist Kolombo who is considered one of the true, great innovators in the electronic music and the mastermind behind Otherwise Records has teamed up with SNOE boss and genre bending producer Andreas Henneberg. They already gained massive appreciation for their first collab track “Set In To A Trance” that skyrocketed into the hearts of fans and followers all across the globe, and now they have done it again. 

Their new track “Crazy Skills” is a once in a decade kind of track. With minimal yet highly effective tools they have created a unique tune that draws on the influences of the early rave days but in an innovative way dedicated to euphoric and sweaty club nights. The mood is slightly dark with massive and gritty snares and playful synths. It accumulates power throughout the track escalated by a dirty vocal that just sticks with you. A heavy bassline hits you right in the gut, this is a track that makes you want to dance and shout and sweat and let go of everything around you. A true masterpiece that you won’t forget any time soon.

The first release in 2024 comes from our long-term friend and artist KARAAT who is based in Stuttgart and together with Minimalte part of the infamous local Herz & Seele events. The 4-track „Dice EP“ is his next clue on AS USUAL MUSIC and we are superhappy to accompany and push this musical evolution to the next level.

Title track „Dice“ is an ultra-sophisticated tune that screws inconspicuously under the skin. A long road of testing made it become super-tight and well-balanced, suitable for various dance floors as well as listening pleasures. Seductive percussions and a sweeping bassline are melting with a hypnotizing synth and emotive vocal cuts. Potential hit!

„Give It“ is another massive track with a melodic touch and driving groove. Road-tested as well, thrilling breaks and brilliantly implemented soulful voices are providing an energy of which nearly no floor can resist.

Like the previous track, „Keep Sitting“ convinces with a solid build-up of mesmerizing flowin’ synth stabs and a tight groove. Turning on a distinctive dramaturgy that drops into a peaktime-driven masterpiece which mows the floor down. Phew!

Track No. 4 „Take My Hands“ is an artistic output in shape of a subtle groover with smartly arranged percussive sounds, which reveal a perfect round-up for this EP by Karaat!

Coming up with their second Hive Audio-release after their label debut Beside You EP are Sous Sol, the Swiss-based duo which has been building up a reputation over the past years due to releases on Heinz Music, Neustadtmusic and others. Bringing on two original tracks and a remix by fellow producer on their new Taonga EP sees the production team upping their game for 2k18, weighing in more heavyweight beats for this summer season and beyond.

The title track Taonga is defo one for the heat of the night, amalgamating filtered tribal chants, multilayered organic percussions and a deep, fever'ish atmosphere with a distinct TechHouse groove and soft, ever floating pads alongside intricate, intertwined synth motifs for real late night connaisseurs on the dancefloor.

On a remix tip for Taonga is the man Manuel Moreno, turning Sous Sol's original vision upside down to present a techier, yet still deeper angle. Focusing on the tunes tribal drums and mysterious pads the remix version adds up loads of spatial pressure from a vintage synth low end, large scale production value and ever building tension whilst providing a surprising turnaround throughout the tunes' massive breakdown.

Finally Muru, the second original Sous Sol production on here, shifts gears tempowise whilst staying on a slightly Tribal-infused, atmospheric lane on which, once again, a naturalistic drum foundation meets twilight mystique, dreamlike patterns, delicate synth arrangements and a full-on dancefloor approach alongside mysterious male vocals, huge gnarly bass pulses and an overall feel of supernatural powers on the brink to what can surely be referred to as TechTrance musically.
