Steyoyoke’s Family Affair series returns to mark its 8th edition to date. The second half of this double release features remixes by Steyoyoke core producers Nick Devon, Simon Sizer and Arude.

Nick Devon introduces his usual well-defined pace to JOBE’s ‘Dystopia’, but diversifies in percussion elements. Great evolution as well.

Simon Sizer comes in remixing ‘Indra’ from family chief Soul Button delivering a sinister soundscape full of echoing sharp elements, making the ambience apparent and notably dark. 

Finally Simon gets a treatment on his own ‘Aconit’ by Ukranian talent ‘Arude’ which crafts a proper Techno groove as he reinforces the track’s commitment to murkiness. 
That’s what Family Affair is all about. Artists lend their techniques and unique views to other highly skilled producers and their pieces, providing beautiful alternative versions of the tracks we already love.

Following their stunning debut EP “Inside”, and remixes for Booka Shade, Moby, and U2, UNDERHER lead us further into their beautifully dark and captivating world with their next offering, “Dark Souls”.  The title track, a firm favourite live, explores themes of heartbreak, carelessness and rebirth, whilst “Strained Are We” was written about the conflict in Syria and reflects painfully about injustice, the absence of control, and the lack of a voice. UNDERHER enlist the talents of dörfler, Strinner, and Koa to further expand the sonic realms of the EP into deep tech house, melodic techno and DnB tinged electronica.

Kalden’s accomplished cinematic productions and Jessica’s haunting vocals and beautifully crafted lyrics have been wooing music supervisors internationally, with both “Dark Souls” and “Strained Are We” featuring in recent Spanish Netflix series Elité.  Their incredible live performances have seen them support the likes of HVOB and SOHN, and play festivals and club shows internationally such as Stereo Montreal, Piknic Électronik, Uberhaus Beirut, Sisyphos and Katerblau Berlin, and Blue Marlin Dubai. Booka Shade welcome Italian live act Pôngo to Blaufield this February as the duo make their debut appearance on the label with ‘So Many Words’. 
Based in Pisa, Italian production partners and brothers Giovanni and Daniele Bruni aka Pôngo have quickly become rising names of note, balancing both vibrant DJ sets with expansive, refined live performances across Europe and beyond. Following releases on Stereo MC’s London based imprint Connected, finding key support from artists including Solomun, Joris Voorn and Kölsch, the duo now turns their attention to a debut outing on Booka Shade’s Blaufield to open 2019, with three dynamic cuts in forming their ‘So Many Words’ EP. Title track ‘So Many Words’ opens proceedings as the duo combine crisp percussion shots, trademark vocals and pulsating bassline patterns to great effect, before ‘Strong’ builds around further infectious vocals with powerful synth builds and rich yet icy tones. Last up, ‘When You Come’ rounds out proceedings, revealing evolving lead melodies, suspenseful breaks and sweeping synths to shape up the EP.

"Harmonizing not only musically, but also as connected souls tuned as one" - that's what you basically you need to know about @danito-athina, the duo based in Germany. "My Eyes" EP on @eleatics consists of two splendid and harmonically rich tracks, where both of them definitely have the story to tell.

The main title "My Eyes" is the energy-charged tune, the thoughtful tone of which has beautifully laid with sporadically placed drum patterns and glitchy percussions. "Novus" is a very special one, formed on the guitar riffs from the very start it keeps and draws listeners' attention to wait for the track's main development to come. Danito & Athina - My Eyes (Julian Wassermann Remix)

'The second edition of 'Terra Incognita' builds an epic union of the amazing producers and their breathtaking music pieces.

Greek producer Ziger and his 'After Midnight' became of the most successful Progressive House tracks of 2018, and now Ziger opens curtains of the release with 'Transparent' - a track, the pulsing energy of which lays the world of colorful melodies onto the right path.

The Lithuanian producer Kastis Torrau signed to Last Night On Earth and Visceral from the small pinch to mention comes up with our Mexican brother Betoko (Diynamic, Einmusika, KATERMUKKE) to deliver 'Raketa' - the bass-density track, which is looping you into the vibe with its crazy electric sounds from its first seconds till the last ones.

Our French friend Acumen, the label owner of Time Has Changed Recordings and the artist with a rich catalog where Selador, Leena Music, Tenampa just some to match, does 'Puppet' - a great melodic tune fitting to roll the mood of the night.

A very promising live act, the professional violinist and the producer from Germany Seth Schwarz puts his music mind together with Stephan Zovsky for 'Ometion' - lyrical and rich on progressions track, that's what we are very big fans of here.

Turkey-based producer Deniz Kabu combines a perfect match of the vocals, the progressions, and the acid sounds into a track which is called 'In A Life'; the track which has already seen another perspective from Diynamic label-boss Solomun during his sets.

That's how the unknown spots from the world illuminate all the spots of our big planet with music, as we set no boundaries. As a 'must'.'
