The title track is an atmospheric affair drawing you in with garage percussion, deep horns and icy synths, while the vocals add a layer of detachment. ‘Believe in You’ nods to classic Kellerkind by way of a disco groove – a neo-trance lead adds an extra twist however. Next up, Joachim Pastor turns ‘Move Me’ into a tour de force of musical wizardry, while Jiggler gets locked deep in the groove.

The EP "Trapped in Time", released by the Berlin label WHATIPLAY is the first result of a cooperation between Marian Herzog and Modshape. Berlin-based like Marian Herzog, the DJ duo produces deep techno. The collaboration however, is a mix of powerful technobeats and playful melodies. The orginals "Trapped in Time" and "Keepsake" are already enticing musical works, while the "Trapped in Time" remix from label boss Sascha Braemer unites them into a wonderful release.

Die EP „Trapped in Time" ist das erste Ergebnis der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Marian Herzog und Modshape. und gleichzeitig auch das erste Release dieser Collaboration auf dem Berliner Label WHATIPLAY. Das ebenso wie Marian Herzog in Berlin ansässige DJ Duo Modshape. fokussiert sich in seinen eigenen Produktionen auf Deep Techno und kombiniert in der hier vorliegenden Zusammenarbeit mit Marian Herzog gerade und kraftvolle Technobeats mit verspielten Melodien. “Trapped in Time” und “Keepsake” gehen bereits in den Originalversionen ordentlich steil und werden mit dem großartigen Remix von “Trapped in Time” von Labelchef Sascha Braemer persönlich zu einem wundervollen Release vereint.

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz’s up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Monkey Safari's dedication to their craft is catching the attention of industry dignitaries and fans alike with their consistent releases and non-stop international touring. Eine warme Wunderwelt, so bezeichnet @get-physical-music und @poesiemusik das neue Release von @fynnofficial – „Infinite Reflections“. Der Berliner Produzent greift für das Original auf einen dicken Groove zurück und setz zeitgleich auf schwerfällige Kicks und ein warmes Ambiente. Die Synths steigen und steigen, um die Geschichte dieser Deep-House-Nummer zu erzählen. Neben dem Original umfasst das Release drei Remixe, die von @peer-kusiv, @philippwolf-music und @jonas-woehl produziert wurden. „Ich fing einfach an, mit den Samples des Originales zu spielen und schnell entstand ein eigener Groove, in dem dann das eine zum anderen führte“, erzählt der letztgenannte Woehl. Der Dresdner ist an die Sache ganz unvoreingenommen herangegangen: „Ich wollte zu dem Original, das eher einen Songcharakter hat, eine düsterere Version basteln, die trotzdem den Vocal in den Vordergrund stellt.“ (...)
