KOAKOTI: The Legend of Rhythms Crossing Continents

KOAKOTI is a Russian DJ known for her unique style of Afro House that blends ancient rhythms with contemporary sounds. This enigmatic nickname comes from an ancient word meaning "soul of dance" in the language of a forgotten African tribe, symbolizing the connection between past traditions and the present.

From the very start of her career, KOAKOTI actively toured Russia, performing at well-known venues in Moscow and other cities. Seeking new experiences and inspiration, she moved to Turkey, where she spent six months captivating the Turkish audience with her sets and immersing herself in the unique atmosphere of the country.

But her journey didn’t stop there. The next chapter led her to Thailand, where she lived for 1.5 years, regularly performing at top venues on the islands of Phangan, Samui, and Phuket. Absorbing local sounds and rhythms, KOAKOTI incorporated them into her musical style, creating unforgettable sonic landscapes.

KOAKOTI embodies the nomadic spirit of music, bringing people together and making them move to the beat of both ancient and modern rhythms. Her sets are an immersion into exotic soundscapes, where each performance becomes an unforgettable adventure. Young and talented, with refined taste, KOAKOTI continues to inspire listeners' hearts worldwide.

Being attracted to music from an early age,Cristi Murar started creating music using a keyboard and a tape recorder. Moving toward computer production helped unlock his potential and after his first official release in 2006,he started touring across Romania to showcase his musical vision in a small live-act style. Learning to mix became an obvious choice and helped him discover new sounds and enlarge his musical horizon. Releases on labels like Dirtybird, Get Physical, Off, Sintope, Jargon! draw attention upon his style and soon he started playing his music in countries like Switzerland, Austria, Denmark,Serbia, Russia. As a trademark for his own productions, you can hear groovy basslines and trippy pads, and being involved in several musical projects helped him develop his production techniques.
