Auf einem staubigen Schild am Straßenrand stehtEsperanza. Im warmen Fahrtwind weht uns der Geruch von Freiheit, Möglichkeit und Lebensfreudeentgegen. Wir schalten einen Gang hoch und rauschen über den Horizont hinweg, hinein in dieHochebene vonDistancia. Mit dem Funkeln der ersten Sterne kommen wir zwischen bunten Lichtern,Girlanden und den freundlichen Gesichtern einer Fiesta an.

Pophop and Seba Campos present the music for a road movie that has not been shot yet, but lis-ten-ing to these two tracks makes us protagonists anyway. The powerful drone of the offbeat enginesends us cruising through the liquid light of an afternoon in a mediterranean, or maybe Latin Americanlandscape. A dusty sign at the shoulder of the street readsEsperanza. The warm headwind carries thepromise of freedom, possibility and high spirits. We shift up a gear and roar beyond the horizon, ontothe high plain ofDistancia. When the first stars begin to twinkle in the cloudless sky we arrive betweenthe lights, ribbons and the friendly faces of a fiesta that is just about to get started.

Nova is a term from the scientific field of astronomy. It describes the burst of brightness in a binary star system caused by a transfer of matter from one component to the other. During this process, enormous energies are released in form of explosions. This reactions leads to radiation in the optical and infrared spectral range. Therefore it‘s visible for human. Be it a terra-, aqua or supernova, all of these processes impressively end old conditions and create thereby something new. Nova is an eternal cycle of passing and coming into being. The first Remix Part of the Nova EP consists of three Remixes produced by Überhaupt & Außerdem, Feinheitsbrei and Savu. Feinheitsbrei presents his version of Aquanova with audible references back to the original complemented by his own touch. Together these Artists create a new adventure trail through the forces of nature. Enjoy the first Remix EP on KataHaifsch.

What comes after the horizon? Four of Roderic’s fellow musicians remix his 2021 Horizon EP on this release. It starts with a 'Mu': a calm and peaceful remix penned by Iorie. He slows down the tempo, alienates sounds, and adds his familiar voice. Number two is Sascha Cawa’s energetic recyclage of 'Recycle' – how could it not sound like rusty iron blasts? Sebo remixes the title track 'Horizon', adding shakes, base, snare drum, and touching the wave. Finally, Amount also takes on 'Mu', twisting it into an ultra-slow technoid dance banger that resonates long after.
