Ede is a hypnotist.
No for real - this is not just a cool figure of speech to make you interested in this record. He actually learned the art and science of hypnotizing people, connecting you with the deepest parts of your subconscious to make desirable changes in your life.
This is also kind of what these tracks did for us the first time we heard them. Putting us in a deep and blissful state of trance and making our lives better.
First, we have Buzzing, which does just what it says: buzzing like a bee trapped in a honey jar. Full of restraint, always teasing, but ready to explode at any minute.
Next comes Rave Code, which again does just what it says: giving you the code to the rave. One of the ballsiest beats we heard in forever, mixed with extra-hard hands in the air rave signals.
Auggie's remix takes Rave Code up a notch. Expertly twisted and mangled, with a lot of room to breathe and an absolutely insane break, this one is for the peak-time floors.
Aera's reduction of the remix basically just trims the fat and makes things a little bit easier to digest.
This time, the artwork is provided by LiorHZ, who has recently made some waves with amazing artworks for a whole bunch of labels we love.

A punchy snare, that shakes the listener to the core, pushes the track into a disco/new wave style. This feeling intensifies as Lasse Winkler’s, aka Acud, lyrics start in the first break. The Berlin-based electronic musician, vocalist and label head of ’Keller’ is known for his musical aliases Acud, Beatmörtelz and Lasse Winkler. He is wailing, ‚Do you see me, don’t you see me, I see you, I don’t see you‘ throughout the track. On the face of it, a text of minimalistic simplicity, even naivety, but if you loo k at it more closely, they are words that are hard to grasp in their ambiguity and difficult to interpret. The well-known phrases become unfamiliar as he continually shifts the meaning by switching intonations. We have already premiered themes fruit of the collaboration between flatmates, friends, couples… but this is the first time we have the opportunity of reviewing the work fashioned by father and son: Cmix & Creeg teamed up once again to bring to life “High Impact”, their debut release on the rising Brazilian label Print ID. On the remix duty, the also Brazilian and also rising artist MeMachine, who delivered a spot-on version of the title track.

While Creeg, the heir, has just started giving the first steps of his career, Cmix, the pappy, has a journey that started a few decades ago. The seasoned producer has been flirting with trippy and darkness-infused cuts for quite some time – and that’s exactly the kind of sonority he has been tutoring his son.

The track we selected to premiere reveals what the established/promising duo is capable of. Energetic, upbeat, melodic, and well-constructed, “Exhale” is a super fat-basslined arpeggio-based tune whose positive message invites you to go nuts on the dance floor.
