You wouldn’t find pearls on the beach. If you really want a pearl you will have to dive for it. For over five years we’ve been browsing through boundless seas and branched forests to find powerful gems leaving a sharp impression while taking us on a journey. They infatuate, fascinate and delight the listeners falling in love with the works of art. What makes the quest most fun: the more unknown the artists, the more truthful the productions. After all, it is music that makes us do things we usually wouldn’t dare. It is a whirl we really like to jump into like a big and swinging web of silk and sorrow.

Following the first compilation – “A Collection of Unreleased Pearls” – is trndmsk’s second release this summer: 22 tracks by musicians, producers and composers dedicated to electronic music. @benn-finn, @braunbeck, @coss, @vogelperspektive, @emilberliner, @pierre-remy-hertzel & @thelatestson, @drivepitcher, @janhertz & @rocko-garoni feat. @deeryona, @jonassaalbach, @nikolasnoam, @raumakustik, @rene-bourgeois, @casanova_tony, @captain-illy-noize, @unfugsrumpelkammer, @whatevertunes & @cubus, @elfgrin-berlin feat. Perlen liegen nicht am Strand. Wenn du eine Perle begehrst, musst du dafür tauchen. Seit mehr als fünf Jahren tauchen wir in unendlichen Meeren, durchforsten verzweigte Wälder, um Musikstücke zu finden, die einen auf eine Reise mitnehmen und tief beeindrucken. Sie betören, faszinieren und entzücken ihre Hörer, die sich in diese Kunstwerke verlieben und sich in ihnen verlieren. Und das schönste an dieser Suche ist: je unbekannter die Künstler, desto mehr sprechen die Exemplare für sich. Die Musik ist es nämlich, die uns Dinge tun lässt, die wir uns sonst nicht wagen würden. Sie ist ein Wirbel und ein großes, schwingendes Netz aus Seide und Sorge, in das wir uns gerne fallen lassen.

Nach der ersten Compilation – “A Collection of Unreleased Pearls” – kommt passend zum Sommer die zweite Veröffentlichung von trndmsk raus: 22 Stücke von Musikern, Produzenten und Komponisten, die sich der elektronischen Musik verschrieben haben. Benn Finn, Braunbeck, coss, Die Vogelperspektive, Emil Berliner, Pierre Remy & The Latest Son, Drivepitcher, Jan Hertz & Rocko Garoni feat. Hailing from the ‘other side‘ straight to Northern Germany Brooklyn based Pattern Drama and LA-resident Tara Brooks deliver with ‘Maraquba‘ the latest catalogue number of Underyourskin Records. The EP‘s eponymous track – coming with remixes from Nico Stojan and Marques Wyatt – takes electronic music not only next level but rather into its future by combing two striking musical trends from the past: deep synth patterns and sounds and oriental influences. The outcome is a driving sound spectacle whipping one over the dancefloor like a desert storm. ‘Apotholite‘, the EPs second track, starts off like a proper Deep House tune before switching lanes and speeding right into a mystical spheric deeply going under your skin ride through the folklore of Eastern Europe and Arabia.

2016 has already been a stellar year for UJR with 36 amazing releases - and we are proud to present the next in our serious.

Evans starts our Spring with a 2 track EP. 
The name sake track and first release of the album Pluto Minus One is a sensual deep techno track, carefully layered and intelligently constructed, creating a rich sound.

Luis Leon Re-Encounter of this track builds on this deep, sensual feeling keeping many of the original pieces but adding rhythm and movement to the track creating a more dance floor friendly vibe, while maintining the lush feel of the original.

On the final track SPSS, Evans shows that he’s not just romantic and drives up the intensity with a more driving, slightly darker techno inspired track that rounds out this moody EP and leaves us inspired for a fantastic night!

SAMA got in touch with me because I was heavily supporting his track Existence from Kraftek in 2017.

We met at ADE and since then we have stayed in touch and I have received tons of great music from him.

After lots of back and forth and his enormous patience with my picky taste in music, we finally have his debut ready on Noir Music and I am truly proud of this 2-tracker.

Curiosity is the straight forward techno-belter with an infectious spoken vocal to compliment the builds and the mood of this awesome tune.

Indifference was the first track I signed and the pitchy bassline on this track not only convinced me but has the clubs going mental every time.

Even though SAMA is fairly new to the techno scene, his productions are spot on and sound like they were produced by someone with years of experience. I hope you love this 2-tracker as much as I do.

Timeless Moment is all about discovering raw new talents and Melody Stranger is definably one of our current favorites in the new generation of Brazilian Techno/Progressive producers.

Melody Stranger has had a huge 2017 with support from names such as Solomun, HOSH, Pete Tong and a release on the mighty legendary Diynamic Music. Now the Brazilian talent brings to Timeless Moment a debut EP which is pure fire to the dance floor with the original tracks 'Apathy' and 'Dark Sun'. 

On the remix duties we have the French star Rafael Cerato making a statement on his debut on Timeless Moment, transforming 'Dark Sun' on a groovy tech progressive masterpiece. On the B Side we have label boss Morttagua getting his hands full on 'Apathy', turning the original dance floor monster on a trippy hypnotic progressive journey.

Premiere: James Teej & Silky- Illuminated Cabaret (Tiefschwarz Remix)

Dabei kann man eigenlich nur eines sagen, Ink ist die wohl schönste Tech House Ballade die ich in letzter Zeit, vielleicht sogar in den letzten Jahren zu hören bekommen habe. Von Anfang bis Ende des Tracks stellt sich ein wohliges Gefühl im Körper ein und die Gänsehaut hat sich schon lange nicht mehr so gut angefühlt, so dass man einfach nur die Augen schließen möchte um sich in diesem Track zu verlieren. Something Says setzt mit Leichtigkeit dieses Gefühl fort, ein warmer Bass der sich emotional ausbreitet, toller Text und genauso sieht es mit Awake aus, großartig emotional wie hier gearbeitet wurde.
Fazit:
Auch wenn man ganz stark die Einflüsse von Oliver Koletzki in dieser EP merkt, ist Stil Vor Talent mir dieser EP ein großartiger Wurf gelungen. Ein Sound der sich irgendwo zwischen Tech House und Pop befindet und damit Genregrenzen für nicht vorhanden erklärt. Sehr starkes Release, an dem man einfach nicht vorbei kommt.
