Peruvian artist Marco Tegui has made a name for himself with hypnotic sounds, melodic journeys around the world and dark but bouncy harmonies. Starting in 2014 he established his residency in Berlin, playing in the best clubs of the city and releasing tracks on iconic labels like Bar25 Music, Dantze and Kindisch. We are happy to welcome him for another beautifully crafted EP called Pachquiza, that showcases his unique organic downtempo sound.

How is it even possible to say “pandemic” in one breath with words like “beautiful”, “uplifting”, “inspiring”? It’s actually quite easy: Let’s talk a few sentences about the new Meerkats EP, called Pandemic. The DJ and producer from Berlin dedicated a melodic-technoid groove triptychon to the difficult time we live in. Fluorescent synthesizer frequencies create a twilight atmosphere of introspection and for a moment we’re not sure whether this trip leads us into the depth of the night or into the dawn of a new morning. Then the thoroughly positive and life-affirming rhythm takes hold of us, and all of a sudden a jolt of hope sends us flying.

As it is also our tenth anniversary we thought to combine these two occasions and come up with a free compilation. Label founder robin | cinematique hand picked a track from each year of the back catalogue from 2010 to 2019 which resulted in a versatile overview of the label.
