Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

And so we started out into the night, down towards the waterfront where there was the sound of music and shouts and drunken oaths, he was talking quietly all the while about this and that, about a girl he had fallen in love with. From that he switched back to the Baron de Charlus and then to Kurtz who had gone up the river and got lost. His favorite theme. I liked the way he moved against this background of literature continuously; it was like a millionaire who never stepped out of his Rolls Royce. There was no intermediate realm for him between reality and ideas. When we entered the whorehouse on the Quai Voltaire, after he had flung himself on the divan and rung for girls and for drinks, he was still paddling up the river with Kurtz, and only when the girls had flopped on the bed beside him and stuffed his mouth with kisses did he cease his divagations. Ka:lu escaped from the empty land with his Arp and took the nowhere’s road. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These tracks can teach you how to give beauty to the people. Kaöb, DIBIDABO, AmuAmu, Chomba and Zuma Dionys are giving love and beauty and warm feelings in their own unique way.

We're thrilled to present Camel Riders Records new release titled 'Minayo' by the French-Moroccan-based producers Sound of Mint, incl. remixes by DIBIDABO, Yamagucci, Feller, Salmani, Carla Valenti. The Live electronic musicians and producers Sound Of Mint are serving us in their debut EP on Camel RIders, three colorful and mesmerizing originals: 'Sama Bena' and 'Minayo' featuring the exceptional Kora player from Senegal, Mbemba Diebate, in addition to the EP theme track 'Kolinga'. Sound Of Mint's originals navigate through the vast landscapes of West Africa, creating an impeccable fusion of traditional instruments and rhythms, epic vocals, and organic elements which are all coated with fine electronic melodies and beats, suited for a wide range of moods and settings. First, we have 'Sama Bena' and 'Minayo' which both display an uplifting and warm atmosphere, combining divine Kora sounds, hypnotizing vocals, and captivating melodies with fine electronic sounds. The third original by Sound Of Mint is 'Kolinga', the EP theme track which combines funky traditional melodies, Guitars, organic percussions, wooden sounds, synths, and intoxicating tribal vocal fragments, which create all together with a fresh World Music Bluesy tune. On remix duty, we have the pleasure to welcome the Russian producer DIBIDABO and the Tel Aviv-based producer Salmani, with their debut on Camel Riders. In addition, we are thrilled to have back on our label the Japanese-Israeli producer Yamagucci, Feller from Beit Oren, and Carla Valenti from Chile. This talented team of remixers, catapult the originals to the heart of the dance floor, with a wide range of thrilling electronic sounds which vary from Slow Tech to Organic & Deep House, infusing pounding melodies, acidic elements, and fresh profound beats. Swept away by Zigan Aldi. The ‘Odin’ EP brews with Souq Record’s traditional smoky desert flavours, evoked by Eastern instruments meeting electronica. Yet The EP is quick to cut through expectations and take a resolutely urban, robust direction: moody takeoffs, low rumbling vocals, a guitar’s singing electricity, heady bass-lines, and enveloping darkness. Odin flirts with melodic techno but never fully gives in to its calls, riding the tension between organic and electric.

Zigan Aldi debuts on Souq with this statement EP, infused with his two homes of Eastern Turkey and Berlin. His atmospheric narrative is three part: Odin rises, Heppnar strikes, Desert Hills simmers down. Three smouldering remixes by Iorie, Zuma Dionys and Namito land the story on softer tracks, completing the picture with elegance.

Live artist and DJ/Producer Solidmind, aka Stephan Kellner, has elevated himself into the top tier of promising downtempo, organic house artists. Still in his mid-twenties and turning heads with his unmistakably compelling releases and DJ sets/live performances, the producer and ‘Elysion’ label boss is forever influenced by the world around him. While travelling as a backpacker in his early twenties, he assimilated a wide variety of underground and cultural influences, helping him hone his skills to create the genre-spanning contemporary sounds he loves. Though a fresh face on the electronic music circuit publicly, he has been producing music since he was 16, his productions going from strength to strength as his sound evolved. 

‘Elysion’, est. 2020, is predominantly a vehicle for his own tracks whilst also serving as a platform for showcasing others. The label specialises in deep tribal dance music, incorporating folkloric sounds and ancient rhythms.

Working out in the Bahnwärter Thiel artist studios in Munich, Stephan’s favourite gear includes the Prophet Rev2 and Moog Sub 37 synths, and Roland Tr8-s, getting lost in jamming sessions until nightfall / through the night / until dark

With upcoming releases scheduled on Pipe & Pochet and more coming on Elysion, this is only the beginning for this exciting talent.
