Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. The train runs along the sea for a time, then cuts inland. We pass tall fields of corn, grapevines, tangerine trees with yellow leaves growing on terraced hills. An occasional irrigation pond sparkles in the sunlight. A river winding through a flat stretch of land looks cool and inviting, an empty lot is overgrown with Summer grasses. At one point we pass a dog standing by the tracks, staring vacantly at the train rushing by. Watching this scenery makes me feel warm and calm all over again. “You’re going to be okay”, I tell myself, taking a deep breath. All you can do is forge on ahead and call the Ancestors. SANGEET’s giving us a spiritual downtempo ceremonia, embracing our senses with warm, positive vibes while ELFENBERG, UDASA and BEYHUDE taking care of our music pleasure in this long running journey into the inner depths of unknown places and mysterious paths. Focused on quality and uniqueness of music rather than its genre, WAYU Records welcomes Aetius Boutefoy for his debut release. The Dusseldorf bred, Siena based producer burst onto the scene in summer 2018 with work on A Must Have and Audiometrica. Nearly one full year later, “Metaleda” coincides with his latest EP on Inward Records! According to Aetius, the title track invokes “a bit of everything.” Its rolling grooves, hazy atmos and ethnic instrumentation come partially in thanks to No:mad. Kapadokya is a story that brings the East and the West together.  I’m honored to have the opportunity to provide my re-interpretation to the original track. The remix represents an adventure across Oceans with its roots in the mystical landscapes of Turkey. The universe conspired in the most beautiful way to create an inspiring friendship between Mercan Dede & myself. Live artist and DJ/Producer Solidmind, aka Stephan Kellner, has elevated himself into the top tier of promising downtempo, organic house artists. Still in his mid-twenties and turning heads with his unmistakably compelling releases and DJ sets/live performances, the producer and ‘Elysion’ label boss is forever influenced by the world around him. While travelling as a backpacker in his early twenties, he assimilated a wide variety of underground and cultural influences, helping him hone his skills to create the genre-spanning contemporary sounds he loves. Though a fresh face on the electronic music circuit publicly, he has been producing music since he was 16, his productions going from strength to strength as his sound evolved. 

‘Elysion’, est. 2020, is predominantly a vehicle for his own tracks whilst also serving as a platform for showcasing others. The label specialises in deep tribal dance music, incorporating folkloric sounds and ancient rhythms.

Working out in the Bahnwärter Thiel artist studios in Munich, Stephan’s favourite gear includes the Prophet Rev2 and Moog Sub 37 synths, and Roland Tr8-s, getting lost in jamming sessions until nightfall / through the night / until dark

With upcoming releases scheduled on Pipe & Pochet and more coming on Elysion, this is only the beginning for this exciting talent.
