Bristol label Idle Hands has always been an incubator for exceptional local talent, but even so Daisy Moon’s debut ‘Geometry Of Curves’ EP last year pulled shapes that made everyone take notice – blending gossamer ambient pop vocals and melodies with the south-west city’s reputation for club ready beats.

While this was her intro to the wider world, it’s built on a rock solid foundation. Cutting her teeth as a DJ at the Idle Hands-affiliated club night Brstl, she’s a member of Bristol/Berlin collective Housework, alongside fellow FM favs Shanti Celeste, Gramrcy and Golesworthy, and a co-founder/tutor of Mix Nights, a DJ course and community encouraging women to learn to mix in a safe, welcoming environment. 

With a monthly Relations show on Noods alongside her sister Florence, and guest spots for the likes of Rinse and NTS, she’s as fluid in techno and electro as she is garage and breaks. Recorded in lockdown though, her FM podcast changes tack for a deranged deep dive into experimental chuggers, industrial broken beats and otherworldly techno. Welcome to the dark side of the Moon.
