Lofar continues to celebrate its Deutschland connection with the first 'Get Perlonized' event on Dutch soil.

The Berlin-based label Perlon's unique approach to promoting and producing music has has taken

their catalogue beyond the 50th release mark; sampling, dissecting sounds, never losing focus on that

perfect dance floor 'hook',  and featuring the following rather infamous and talented artists:

Ricardo Villalobos, Mathew Jonson, Luciano, Baby Ford & Benjamin Wild [amongst others].

 

On the 11th of November at club NL, legendary Perlon label founder/producer Zip [aka Dimbiman] will most 

certainly rock & entertain, followed up by a slice of live stripped-down-ultra-deep-house by Melchior Production Ltd;

expect sounds and purification towards the essence of soul!

It's time to present a new edition of DSSmix! This time we invited Santiago Ritacco, who is undoubtedly one of our favorite selectors in the current Spanish scene. His selections and skill in finding gems from the 90s and mid-00s make him a standout artist. It's also worth noting that Ritacco collaborated with us on our first compilation with his project R&I. It's a great pleasure to have you in this series.

1. How and where was the mix recorded?

I recorded it at my home in Tenerife. We programmed it several months ago, so I had time to make a good selection of what I wanted to play.

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?

The idea behind this mix was to create a podcast dedicated to what I usually play on the dance floor, including many unreleased tracks from upcoming projects and edits, always with my signature 90s sound.

3. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…

In a few weeks, we have the Dias De Campo festival (which inspired me a lot for this mix), several upcoming dates booked, and we continue working on our label Toscal Records, where we are preparing our first vinyl and promoting the local scene with my group of friends from Carne Fiesta.

4.- Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?

I've known Leo for many years, I think even before they founded this brand, and they are doing a great job in the Barcelona scene. I hope they continue for many more years!

Brazilian artist Dee Bufato has, from his home of Sao Paulo become something of a go to name on the minimal scene. As a resident of Subdivisions and one of the country’s most influential night spot D-EDGE he has developed his sound to encompass the current minimalist sound while incorporating his percussive Brazilian roots. 

Releases of note have come by way of a solo EP on Sketches, a split EP on RIAA as well as a digital release on long running German stable Archipel. Having a keen ear for a beat is all well and good but having the deft skills and imagination to stitch them together across a DJ mix is where Dee Bufato stands out.
