Part II. The Beach Break Secrets:


One hot summer morning, Rancel looks at the conditions to go bodyboarding at his usual beach. While checking them, he notices that something strange is going on... The waves direction is unusual, The waves would enter with great power and even the wind direction seems to change many times throughout the day - “Mysterious Conditions”. A nostalgic jazz piano continuously evolves, working its way around the sleek and smooth body of the track, a warm and inviting entrance to the latest work from the young Spaniard. 

Without hesitation, everyone grabs their boards and sprints out to try this new candy. While catching his first wave, Rancel listens to the sound of it breaking behind him and calculates the perfect moment to project an incredible “Invert”. Throughout the session he implements the same technique to perfect one of his favorite maneuvers - “Inverted Sound”. A playful and driven track to switch the dancefloor up a dimension, the curious synths taking you for a walk as if they have a mind of their own. 

Rancel alerts his friends to go down to check what was going on and upon parking the car on the shore, he notices that the sea is calm, except at one end of the beach... a perfect left hand wave would appear in a place where no waves had ever come up before - “Insolit Lefts”. This one relies on a chunky minimalistic groove conversing with the various twists and turns the talented producer has created, a versatile track that can slot in perfectly to several situations. 

Sunset is falling, after several hours of surfing. Rancel announces to his friends that he will be leaving the water soon. "The last one and we're leaving, guys. When catching that last wave, he feels like a strange attraction that forces him to go back in to catch another last one, and another, and another... They had all
been locked in that loop until night falls and finally it seems that the enchantment is broken and the boys manage to return home exhausted, although with a feeling of wanting to return the next day to see if the same swell repeats itself - “Hooked on the last one”. The aptly named track is a five minute journey of bliss as the track floats between clean broken drums, and deep and emotional synths, a winning combination again and again. 

Part II. of the Spooky Wave story lands 20th September, Rancel continuing to cement himself as one to watch in the coming period.

Long-time collaborators Lazare Hoche and S.A.M. have linked up on new project ‘Perfect Pushup 01’, the first release on the duo’s newly founded Perfect Pushup label, out Friday 6th March.

A two-track, vinyl-only release, ‘Perfect Pushup 01’ kicks off with the warm, sensual vibes of ‘The AR’, a feelgood house cut that takes the listener on a blissed-out 12-minute journey. On the flip-side, ‘The GB’ is a chugging, hypnotic slice of disco-inflicted house that possesses a similarly floor-filling vibe. The launch of the new project, S.A.M.’s first release since the lauded ‘Fury’s Laughter’, will also be marked with a run of bespoke t-shirts in collaboration with Everpress, available here.

"Perfect Pushup is the new project from myself and S.A.M., we wanted to create a fresh brand to showcase our love for feelgood and soulful house sounds, and we couldn't be happier with this EP to announce the label," Lazare expands.

Lazare and S.A.M. make up two thirds of Mandar, a house trio who are prolific despite all living in different cities. Not only a well-respected DJ and producer, but also the mastermind behind some of the most acclaimed recent underground records, Lazare’s journey has taken the Frenchman via several acclaimed underground vinyl imprints, including Concrete Music and his very own Access Records and Oscillat Music. Previously performing at the likes of Ushuaïa, Boiler Room, Fabric and Output NYC, Lazare has proven to be a mesmerising performer and certified fan favourite.

Drawing on that irresistible French house sound, ‘Perfect Pushup 01’ marks a new chapter in the story of two prolific house heads.

Framed Realities own Squep is presenting his next EP, which comes with 3 strong Original Tracks and 3 unique remixes. On FRAMED007, Squep delivers a massive groove on the title track „Where Would I Go”, combined with an emotional takeover during the song. A summer festival track per excellence. 
The first remix comes from Frieda's Büxe co-owner and well known swiss DJ/Producer San Marco. Loved for his very distinctive and tasteful groove, he transformed “Where Would I Go” in a funky and warm dancefloor bomb. 

On the other remix duties we invited Belgian minimal talent Jerome C. He gave the track his very own minimal twist without losing its power and dedication. This remix comes with subtle grooves and soothing pads. 

Squeps “Mind Travel” fully lives up to its name and kicks off with a mystique vocal accompanied by futuristic stabs and hypnotic synths. This Bassline driven floor shaker is on point.

The last remix comes from Framed Realities co-owner Christian Schiemann. Known for his subtle and drum orientated productions, he gave the track a new, crisp edge. 

The EP finishes with 2 more original groovers, the perfect addition to round up the record. “Recapture” is build on many layers and evolves on a great journey through dub chords and cutting hi-hats. 

Smudged Eyeliner has this hypnotic vibe that will stay in your head and is the perfect fit for any after hour set.
